Just okay. First time eating here, on a weekday night. Food was very average. I ordered a crispy chicken bowl. The chicken was tasteless and a bit greasy. The rice was barely warm. The veggies were okay. Nothing special. My companion had a burger. She said it was pretty greasy, and overloaded with sauce. I guess another patron may enjoy that though. The table was so sticky the menus were sticking to. I didn't put my phone on the table because it was so sticky. My companion had to return her first beverage because the glass was very dirty. Something was stuck on it. Our server was very friendly and professional. I don't think we'll be back.

I never write reviews but my awful experience at this restaurant prompted me to write. I have been to this restaurant many times for lunch, and this was the first time for dinner. Justin, the manager, was extremely rude and dismissive to us when we raised an issue with our bill. Sadly, though I had been a frequent guest in the past, I will not be returning.

Food and service was very good! The Kale salad had an amazing flavor! The Veggie burger was delicious. The ribs and vegan bowl were also good! The steak was a bit overcooked, that was our only complaint. We got to play some pinball after dinner!

Have been a regular customer for some time now, often on Saturdays to enjoy live music. Unfortunately, my recent experience has taken Gates off my list.Upon arriving, I was informed by the hostess that a ticket to the show was required for entry. I gladly accepted the $25 cost and was told to wait to purchase a ticket from her manager.After 15 minutes I asked the hostess again to purchase a ticket, and again was informed to wait for the manager.Finally, the manager arrives and informs me--in a rude and obnoxious way--that they are at capacity and unable to accept walk-ins, despite the hostess confirming that I would be able to purchase a ticket.If the manager had simply informed the hostess that they were at capacity, she could have informed me and several others that were also waiting to purchase tickets, instead of forcing us to stand there for more than 20 minutes. The condescending attitude of the manager only made things worse.It's too bad, because I really enjoyed this restaurant and live music on Saturdays, but their staff is disorganized and disrespectful and I will not be back.

Gates has seriously upped its game! My wife and I were pleasantly surprised after a recent visit, a major upgrade from our experience a couple years back. The service was noticeably better, attentive and friendly, and the food? We devoured our bowls – I can still taste the freshness of the tuna in mine – and left feeling happy and satisfied. If you haven't been back in a while, give Gates another try – you might be in for a delightful surprise!

Went for brunch on Sunday and had a pretty good time. It's a cute spot, good light and nice atmosphere. It also looks like they have a battle of the bands planned, which seems like it will be really fun.The kitchen was really slow, unfortunately, which was surprising, because they didn't seem overly busy for a Sunday. They didn't serve the table all at once which is always a bit awkward, especially after such a long wait. But the food itself was decent, and the wait staff was pleasant.

The waitress was very nice . I waited for a cheeseburger for almost 1/2 hour after everyone was served their meals . We also found out the next day Wednesday night was a buy one burger get another one for free... Gates did take my burger off the bill which I appreciate. Getting water in our glasses etc wasn't happening.Over all we had a good time but it just seemed there wasn't enough help . My wife did enjoy her tacos .

My husband was excited to order the roast beef special. He asked the waiter 3 times if it was cooked whole then cut , or cut then cooked? The server obviously didnt understand but our meals came and the roast beef was seared on both sides which was exactly how my husband did not want it! He ate it instead of sending it back but it was not to his liking! My salad was very good, but we don't need to go back anytime soon.
Food is just ok. And it always takes forever to come out, so if you need to be somewhere after, don't come here. The bang bang shrimp bowl was ok, it sits very heavy. The rest of the food is also not the best

I hate to write a negative review, but be aware that dining when the band is performing is not a good experience. Dined on a Saturday night. The restaurant is extremely loud and is in dire need of soundproofing/ remediation since the floors are concrete and there is a lot of glass. Plus, the open doorways to the bar area with loud, pounding band music makes the sound level go off the charts. Noise all around from tables with obnoxiously loud patrons and music (which wasn't good btw). Food is mediocre with a lot of room for improvement. We made the mistake of ordering pricey items which is not their strong suit. Stick to burgers, wings, bar food... not the more complicated dishes. And eat early or go for lunch to avoid the band!

The food is good, the servers were pleasant but not very available as there was only one waiter and one server for the entire house. Luckily, we were in no rush, so waiting for our drinks was the only difficult wait for us. Not sure why you would ask if there is a particular celebration on your reservation form if you don't do anything to acknowledge it. We were celebrating a birthday, noted it on the reservation, and nobody said a thing. Then again, we go back to how few people were working that night. Food was good, though, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
