Great place for good pizza and grinders! People are pleasant and welcoming. It a great place just sit down and enjoy a meal.

Dive bar feel (basement entrance) without the dive bar character or prices. I'm not sure the last time I had a drink as weak as the one served me

Impeccable vibes. I came in with my fiancé during the afternoon and spent about 2 hours chatting with the bartender and other patrons at the bar. We had a fantastic time - this place really is an old-school, know-the-regulars, classic queer bar!

What can I say about York St? It's like the gay Cheers. I always have a pleasant time and it is easy to meet new people. The bartenders are friendly and sweet. They have great events every month. There is a warmth to York St. that I don't often feel at a bar. My only critique is that I wish there were specialty cocktails.

Love this place! Very chill vibes, easy to meet and chat with people. Great outdoor space in the back. The food is good and beer selection is decent.

My wife and I , lesbian couples , was treated very poorly at this establishment. From the moment I walked in this place it was a disaster. I paid for “ vip seating” .. $150 ! And there was no seats available, went to the bar .. no service. Completely ignored. And when another customer suggest to the bartender to serve us first, the bartender got rude with my wife. Uncalled for. We walked right out and lost 150. I’ve never been mistreated by my own community before.Very disappointing. I can’t wait for this place to be out of business. As someone who owns their own business, customer service is always first. Great people better, or don’t have a business. Be better. Be kinder. Be respectful. You NEVER know who you’re serving!

Went there after a bad experience at another gay bar- Trevor lounge I think, and this pace was much better. Good drinks and nice people.

Such a cute little gay bar. Very calm and great for introverts. The gay Cheers. Will definitely go back when I feel less dancey instead of going to Partners. Check them out! Also a lot of tasty drinks!

Sat at the bar and bartender Bryan was very courteous. 99% of patrons were considerate (there's always the exception). Tuesday night was quiet. Looking forward to future visits and more lively nights.

Let me tell you. Regardless of occasion or orientation, this is a absolutely great establishment. You won’t find a more welcoming staff, a better patio or more perfect fries than at the 168 York Street Cafe.

Never been so far. Going with someone soon. Confused…walk up the stairs or down the stairs or around through the rear? It’s scary And intimidating especially if first time in.

Great place for Sunday brunch! Mimosa pitchers for $12! Lots of food for reasonable prices! Check it out!

This is a gem in New Haven and southern Connecticut in general. It is the typical neighborhood bar with drag shows and brunch on the weekends. I've never had the food but the bar ambiance is very friendly, casual and fun.
