It wasn't busy on a late Saturday afternoon / early evening. I ordered the lobster roll, Connecticut style (hot with butter). The brioche bread was nice and buttery, which made the sandwich much better. The Belgian fries were OK, they got soggy with the leaked butter on my plate. There was no dessert menu and they didn't offer any after the meal. There was loud music in the background, but you can still carry a conversation. I feel like this restaurant is more for drinkers during happy hour than diners that want to eat good food.
Flat beer and overpriced food
Went for a Sunday brunch when my partner's friend was in town. She said her apple tart waffles were the best breakfast she'd had in a long time! My egg sandwich was delicious (though a little messy/difficult to eat AS a sandwich). The staff were kind & attentive. An excellent brunch overall!
Delicious food (especially brunch), Chef really makes sure the food doesn't just please your pallet, but also your soul! Triniti is an amazing waitress/bartender there as well, really attentive, speedy with her work, and always delectable drinks! All day happy hour on Sundays is also a plus!
We got there and waited like 10 minutes before someone can to welcome us, then he kept on pretending he was going to seat us and we got tired of waiting and just left because he never came back to take us to our table.
Great experience overall. Staff was very friendly but sometimes hard to find. Food was quite good.
Had such a lovely brunch with friends. Food exceeded my expectations and the service was also excellent. Will definitely be returning!
We went for brunch. The service was not great--and the food very mediocre. I would not recommend.
We had a reservation for fine dining (white tablecloth, adequate servers, charming setting, relative quiet permitting conversation) on the first floor-- and were forced onto the second floor when the restaurant sold out the first floor to a single group. It was nasty!!! Incredibly loud, rumpus room/train station-like, no tablecloths, short on utensils, uncoordinated food service, struggling servers, very late drink service, cold food, NO graciousness-- imagine our anger and embarrassment in hosting house guests there. NEVER AGAIN!!! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS RESTAURANT??? As we exited, we saw the private party enjoying the experience we had booked and had not received. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!
Food is great (had the fish & chips & Caesar salad), staff is friendly and attentive. Love the French bistro atmosphere.

Ran out of coffee at 10am (their open) for Sunday Brunch and espresso machine was broken. Inattentive (if very friendly) service. Good atmosphere and food but if you go there stay on top of the staff.
Great ambiance and amazing service by Alex and "Other Alex". For starters, the shishito peppers and provencals mussels were delicious, nicely prepared. Mussels with frites, the peppers nicely charred with a lime wedge for that umami hit. Drinks were delicious and meticulously crafted by Other Alex. And the main dinners were tasty and well portioned, squid ink seafood pasta and gnocchi. The dessert - Nutella cheesecake - was overly indulgent and I could have gone for a lighter fare. Other Alex sold me on it, she's excellent at her craft. A must visit and adjacent to the Yale University Arts Library and Yale School of Art - super chill street vibes. Lots of free street parking too! I'd visit again, thank you for the great experience.
Oysters of the day were very small. October should be oyster season. Mussels were very small too. Shellfish in seafood pasta had no sautéed flavor and apparently just cooked in the sauce. The sauce, unlike last few times we had, was on the watery side and lack the robust seafood flavor. Bucket for mussel shells were two inches above the rim and for the whole hour or hour and a half no one emptied it. Water was not refilled and no one checked on us if the food was ok. Most annoying was the waiting staff insisted we pay on her hand held machine. I don't have my glasses and can't really see the bill on the machine. Plus it is very impolite to pay in front of my guests. After two or three rounds of back and forth she finally gave up to let me pay the old fashioned way - swipe my card and bought me paper bills and pen to sign. It shouldn't be hard just to pay for my bill :-)
Stopped by on a whim and caught an excellent happy hour, the arancini and clam chowder were standout dishes, some excellent local brews on offer too
