A lovely find in the heart of East Rock! Gourmet food items, gifts, books, foods to go. The coffee bar is excellent and the staff is always friendly.
There is a nice assortment of baked goods and some offered by Hen & Heifer of Guilford.
There is seasonal outdoor seating with tables & umbrellas. There are a few high top seats inside by the windows.

The sandwiches were excellent, and it's clearly very popular. On a warm fall day the outside tables were very pleasant. The downside was that the preparation was extremely slow - we didn't time it, but it took a good fifteen minutes from order to eating.

I was very curious. I saw a lot of things that I never saw before. I wasn't really asking for anything. I was just waiting around until the time of my appointment in the neighborhood.
Overall, it's a nice place to pick up some essentials, right in the neighborhood.
