Blue Orchid Pan Asian Cuisine and BAR

Blue Orchid is a New Haven hidden gem! They have the cheapest drinks and a great menu. They host lots of community events and support local artists. The owners are great, and my friends and I always leave wanting to come back. (They also have the cleanest restrooms of any bar I’ve been to).

been here twice. the food is fine & the atmosphere is nice but the wait time is frustratingly slow, almost an hour both times whether the restaurant was packed or almost empty. pretty frustrating

It was reserved for a birthday party. I really enjoyed the food. They assorted types of drinks. The owners are phenomenal. It was my first time I will visit again and I highly recommend the place.

Really relaxed place to go for cocktails or for a light dinner with drinks. The food is delicious and the drinks are great! We had the mango margaritas and I had the pineapple rice curry. This is a wonderful, safe, welcoming open place on a quiet side street.

First time here, service was slow it took a while to get our orders in, had to ask for water, ask for to go bowl. They were sold out of some curry and didn’t bother to bring the menu back out. For food I felt sick to my stomach didn’t finish, there was stuff floating in the water, the green curry looked so unappetizing, the only thing that was finished was the oil veggie dumplings. I took the edamame home but the curries were.. bad sorry

There food is so delicious but the wait is entirely too long. Usually they don’t have many customers so that just makes it even crazier that the wait time is soooo long.

Like the inclusive vibe, but the food is garbage. Worst Asian fusion food I’ve ever had. Also, the place is FREEZING. Also it’s SO loud, hard to hear.

Love their happy hour. Also their staff is very fast and responsive.

Unusually slow and unfriendly service tonight. I've been here several times but tonight it was just awful. Blank stares, very long wait just to order and longer wait to get drinks, and just a hostile vibe in general. I'm very surprised, it has never been like this before and I always felt safe and welcome here in the past. We were one of only two tables in an otherwise empty restaurant.

My favorite spot in New Haven. Amazing people. Amazing vibe. Amazing food. They've cultivated one of the safest spaces I've been in as LGBTQ+ and their karaoke scene is one of the best I've been a part of. Keep being Amazing!

This is my fiancé and my favorite restaurant. We come here all the time for happy hour and love sitting at the bar while eating dinner. Great deals and incredible food!
