The bartender, Stefan, THE BEST. His personality is a vibrant concoction of charm and wit, infusing the bar with an infectious energy. With each pour, he serves not just drinks but a side of banter that keeps patrons engaged and entertained. A maestro behind the bar and a captivating host, his charisma turns every visit into a memorable experience. You'll find yourself not just savoring the wine he ever so carefully selected, but also savoring the delightful moments he effortlessly crafts throughout the evening. This place is a gem!

What a charming Wine Bar and small plate establishment! I have been wanting to visit this place for a number of years and finally got the chance recently. Clearly a hidden gem in New Haven. An extensive assortment of domestic and foreign wines that will satisfy any palate. I began the night with a "Wine Flight" of Portuguese Port Wines. Great light food offerings to nibble on as you try their various wines. Comfy sofa's & coffee tables, and an ample bar area for those who like mingle and chat with the owners and staff. We were early arrivals, so there wasn't a crowd just yet, but since many people stop by after going out to dinner, the place started filling up quite nicely as we were wisked away back to our hotel at around 10pm. We'll be back for sure!! Thank You, Tony and Linda for treating us to a very special evening.

Fun wine bar in East Rock neighborhood. Nice wine selection. Friendly owner made sure we had everything we wanted. There is comfortable lounge seating or you can sit at the bar with the locals. I look forward to going back again and taking a ride share home after a few glasses of primo vino.

Just had a really terrible experience here. Honestly, I feel scammed… my date and I each ordered two drinks. we were about to pay when she pointed out we had been each charged for an additional drink on the check. We told the waiter but he said that we were wrong and that we each had 3 drinks and not 2 - which is *definitely* not true since a) I remember drinking 2 drinks, and b) I’m a small human and was driving that evening, 2 is my limit. he went and spoke to his boss and came back and said there was nothing he could do. Then he sort of smugly told us to have a good night. Why didn’t he just correct his mistake? I feel like it really says something about a place when a situation like that sort of goes off the rails…If you’re thinking about going here, I recommend bar august instead. They have a better wine selection anyway (and much nicer to two young queer women on a date)

Came for a date with my girlfriend. The food is over priced and very mediocre. The staff will be sure to ruin any enjoyment that could have been possible. By far the rudest staff we have encountered in New Haven. We will never be coming back and hope to deter anyone else from spending their hard earned money here.

The staff is so unbelievably rude. They clearly don't want your business, and have a "why are you here" attitude.

I've never experienced such rude staff. Be sure to chug your wine as the staff will be shoving you out of the door claiming they need the table when there is no line. I don't know what their problem is, but it ruined any kind of enjoyment. Never again.

What a quaint place! The wine is superb, so is the food. The atmosphere is amazing. I felt like I was in Europe. I loved the decor, the piano, the wooden barrels, and the coaches.

The definition of a cute little spot. Lots of delicious appetizers, we got probably 6 different types and loved them all. Our waiter was very friendly and the interior has a cool, chill vibe. Comfy couches too!

Good spot for a happy hour drink if you're cool with going with one of the small handful of options. I've found the happy hour whites to be pretty good and a nice value. Avoid food. It looks like a great deal but the portions are so comically small that it's actually a bit of a rip off. The food quality isn't great either. I've tried the fries, flat bread, and artichoke dip and didn't find any of them to be particularly good.Mixed experiences on service, a little hit or miss. Ambiance is nice and includes indoor seating as well as a few tables out front on state street.

The wine choice was excellent. We came in on a Saturday evening and were seated and waited on quickly. The live music was excellent and provided a wonderful atmosphere. Overall a very pleasant experience with great drinks.
