Cave a' Vin Reviews
Unfortunately this place is just not very good. Pretty poor selection of wine in a somewhat bizarre atmosphere. With a little bit more effort, it could be a much welcomed addition to the going-out options in East Rock, but for now you’re better off drinking at home.

Some things I noticed were a TV that's always on, music that doesn't fit the ambiance, closing at 10 when Google says they close at 11, or other small things that August nailed like having paper menus instead of plastic. The service was amazing these folks were super helpful with their wine collection... Totally reccomend
Cave a' Vin is a charming wine bar and small plate establishment that serves excellent food, including their renowned pulled pork street tacos. The cozy atmosphere, with comfortable sofas and an ample bar area, creates an inviting space for mingling. The bartender's charm, wit, and infectious energy make every visit a memorable experience. The wine selection is extensive, with domestic and foreign options to satisfy any palate, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful in guiding guests to the perfect wine. Guests can enjoy a wine flight and do a blind tasting, or indulge in delectable desserts like the chocolate lava cake, which pairs perfectly with the drinks. Despite its small size, this hidden gem in New Haven offers a wonderful dining experience with reasonable prices and friendly, attentive service.
