Unfortunately this place is just not very good. Pretty poor selection of wine in a somewhat bizarre atmosphere. With a little bit more effort, it could be a much welcomed addition to the going-out options in East Rock, but for now you’re better off drinking at home.
I feel like this place is close to having the vibe that they want to have (a cute/classy French wine bar), but for me it's ruined by a few fixable things. Some things I noticed were a TV that's always on, music that doesn't fit the ambiance, closing at 10 when Google says they close at 11, or other small things that August nailed like having paper menus instead of plastic. Everything about this place is great! I do a lot of traveling and this is now one of my top places! The wine selection, atmosphere, seating, charcuterie selection, all are A+ for me which says a lot.
