One can get good burgers in a lowkey, sleepy, bar here. Not a first date night place, and it's tough to beat that around this area of New Haven. Thanks Contois
Definitely our speed. Low maintenance crew and crowd. Inexpensive way to have a few beers on your way to or from a meal. They only have small burgers and no fixins as I recall but definitely worth an entry on any pub crawl.

Definitely not a place for people who Don't like to be poked fun of. But the burgers here are one of the best I've had around. Definitely stop by for a drink and a burger.

Vintage dive bar with surprisingly delicious (and cheap) burgers, which are usually the only thing to eat (other than chips). Sometimes they have brats and hot dogs, which are also tasty. Limited but inexpensive beer selection and a character of an owner/proprietor/grill man. Clearly a place for regulars. Good outdoor seating in back. 4.5/5 stars. Best dive bar in East Rock (well, one of the only ones, but still very good).
