Someone needs to be in charge. Attempted to visit on Thursday after seeing a Facebook post saying "Come in, we're open tonight" Went there and the place was completely empty, as in doors locked, dark, and no one inside. Sent a FB message and their reply was that are only open Friday- Sunday now and their social media person didn't know. Ok, Cool. So I attempt to go back 3 days later on a Sunday to find the place again, completely empty, doors locked, dark, and no one inside. The only difference was the Now Open sign sitting outside the front door. Write another FB message and this time, only 3 days later, they've changed their hours again saying they are now only open Friday & Saturday... WTF? So Yelp, Google, Grubhub, FB, and even the Doc's own website all have the wrong hours? Somebody needs to take charge and get it together. I'm not wasting any more of my time, my friends' time, and gas money trying to enjoy a place where the only real proof that they ever open is a disappearing/reappearing now open sign by the front door

This place isn't bad. The extended room off to the side had no air circulation. We were disappointed to hear that they didn't have any lobster, mussels, oysters or desserts. It's not very kid friendly. The staff seemed really nice and they had really good prices on the food. I was very happy with how the food taste.

I'll start off by saying that I really wanted to like this place. Seemed like a fun spot to grab drinks and food. We had a Groupon so we stopped by one day to try it out. There was only one other table in there when we came in. The bartender was super friendly and attentive. He informed us that they were out of a long list of various items including the pretzels, mussels, all lobster items, and several other seafood and other related things. Very odd for a restaurant. Thankfully we were just stopping in for some drinks and a small bite, so that didn't bother us. The reason that this review is getting two stars instead of just one is because the bartender was super friendly and the nachos were good. Even though the nachos are a bit more expensive, you get a gigantic portion. And they are pretty damn tasty! Unfortunately, the other item we ordered--chicken tenders--came out extremely under cooked. And by undercooked, I mean half of it was raw (see photo). We don't foresee us going back to this establishment again. They didn't have in stock almost half of their menu items, and then they couldn't even safely or correctly prepare the food that they did offer.

Unfortunately, VERY bad experience. I had the Groupon and was excited to check it out. Great location. Ambience is pretty cool. When we arrived (Sunday around 1:45pm) we were told there was no brunch menu today. The groupon was for brunch, but she let us know we could use it towards lunch. No problem. The restaurant was empty. We were the only table. The waitress informed us that they were out of a lot of menu items due to a very busy night before. These items they were out of included all lobster and fish & chips (2 of the items we wanted to check out.) And a slew of other things. We ordered the chips and guac in the pineapple. Like the picture online shows and says on the menu. The guac was served in a bowl. They were out of pineapples. Waitress felt bad. Said she wouldn't charge us (but she did.) Mom ordered coconut shrimp. Simple, basic but she liked it. My boyfriend ordered 2 clusters of the crab legs- $29 plus $3.95 for a side of potatoes. Each cluster was missing a leg! I ordered the lava shrimp tacos with a side of sweet corn. She informed me 15 minutes later they were out of sweet corn, but I could order any app as a side. I ordered the RI calamari. Three shrimp tacos- no mango pico. Over battered- miniscule shrimp. Calamari was soggy and rubbery. No onion strings, tabasco or lemon. I took it to-go and had to re-fry it at home. I really wanted to like this place. It, unfortunately, it was a horrible meal. Don't get excited for the sushi-the pictures are on the website, but are not on the menu. And the menu says "Dock's" not "Doc's."

Fries were the best thing I ordered. Corn had some spice if you like that kind of thing but nothing special. Service was cool. Nothing special. I think people come here for the adult drinks. This day they only had can sodas. Soda somehow tasted flat and switched it for another drink and that was watery. The boil wasn’t seasoned but it was enjoyable. I think the portion was small. Ordered the mild but it was spicy, more than just a little kick. The ribs state they fall off the bone. The lie detector determined that was a lie. The sauce wasn’t bad but the ribs were tough and not good.Probably won’t be back.

I have been to this establishment at least once or twice per month. Yes they did open without having liquor but They have grown and I have seen the growth. The customer service and this establishment is beyond awesome. Anytime I had a problem with anything I have always been able to speak personally with Chef Mark. #outstanding The bartender, Brandon is beyond cute and very personable. Waiting for happy hour cause y'all know I be spending a trip on drinks in there!!!!

This place sucks and I should have listened to the reviews- they have big “all's” adding a 20% gratuity when the service was horrible and the oysters smelled like the Dead Sea!!! Definitely not worth $66.00 for a bud on tap, rum runner and 12 nasty fishy tasting oysters!!!

Food was not as good as we expected. I ordered the food for taking out and the man charged me 20% tip without my consent when I went to pick the meal up. He did not ask me to sign the receipt and I did not go through the receipt before leaving the restaurant. I realized this charge after getting home. As much as I would like to call and tell him what he did was not right, I did not make the call considering the possible loss of their business due to the pandemic.

Great Service! Regrettably awful food. Calamari and Shrimp Po' Boi were inedible. Again, super nice staff.

It was quite honestly the worst experience we'd ever had in a restaurant. We had never been here before and bought a Groupon to try. Being a surf shack, we were excited about the lobster rolls and fun types of sushi on the menu. Before we had even sat down, we were informed there was no lobster at all that day and no sushi either.. So, fine we would find something else. We asked if there was an open bar and the answer was yes. But they were “out” of wine, had no citron vodka or ginger beer and when we ordered bourbon on the rocks, it was delivered in shot glasses with ice chips that were mostly melted. However the Sangria I ordered after had no ice at all. t was just so strange. We ordered shrimp cocktail that were served almost warm. Not even a little bit chilled but instead seemed like they had just been cooked. The salmon salad I ordered was good enough but served without dressing and when I asked for it it took maybe 10 minutes to get it, even though there were only two other tables in the whole restaurant. My fiancé ordered fries with his meal and didn't get them either. He also ordered the lamb lollipops for his dinner and asked for medium rare and they were well done but seasoned really well so that made up for it. After we got the check, I noticed there was an additional salmon charge added to my salad that was already priced for salmon being on it. That had to be fixed as well. I worked in restaurants for almost 20 years and am very understanding to what happens in establishments that are working against forces out of their control - this was entirely inexcusable. Horrible experience on just about level and needless to say we would never dream of going back.
