Their little bakery inside was amazing but their food shop workers seemed either stressed beyond measure or fed up. I am not sure if they are under-staffed or over-worked but either way it was a bit jarring, especially when things kept being pushed back in wait time or just delivered wrong. I did finally get what I ordered and did enjoy everything. Grocery store was neat too.
I shop here frequently for pantry and fresh ingredient staples. This and Thyme and Season in Hamden are my go to markets for specialty vegetarian items. The bakery and cafe are nice too. I disagree with another review that characterized this as "out-of-the-way" as its a convenient short bike ride from downtown for me (especially with the Edgewood cycle track) and if you prefer driving there's lots of parking.
The edge of the woods is my favorite place at least one of them but every time I go upstairs first of all they don't have an elevator for people with knee problems, secondly the employees are so seemingly racist I just don't like their vibe please do better for our community
