Pepe’s is the best pizza in New Haven. I tried the other top spots and this one wins hands down. Jeff is awesome, and you won’t regret trying their pies.

Got there and only waiting 10 min for a table so we were ecstatic as we were on a tight schedule. Then waiting for an hour for food, which never came. Unfortunately we ran out of time and had to go. Super disappointed as this was our first visit and a bucket list for us.
The waitress was really nice. Wish she had checked in with us during the hour. We actually had to track them down and ask about our food when we saw the tables around us getting their food.
Place wasn’t terribly busy and the manager was around - also never checked in with us.
Visited yesterday. Great experience. Can't wait to go back soon. Best pizza.

Wooster Street, New Haven, CT, the holy grail of pizza. Clam pizza was fantastic. Went at lunch on a Tuesday, no wait, parking was fine in Frank's parking lot. ❁❁❁ Three pies out of three- cuisine beyond compare, go out of your way to try to get there.
I think I’m not the biggest fan of New Haven style pizza because it does not sit on the gut light it’s greasy and heavy but that being said it was still good and I can see the style and vibe it has but I’m not the biggest fan but for the vibe and name it has it’s worth trying New Haven style pizza

Coal fired is a difference for sure. Great sauce, great meats. We'll be back.

Here for work and got a gift cert from someone to try this. First and last place I’ll eat pizza from here. Pizza was cold and it was chewy. Also just boring/no flavor. If this is how pizza is here, I’ll just get dominos the rest of the time.

We were traveling to New Heaven over Memorial Day weekend. This place was highly recommended by few of our friends in California and our local host.
There was a long line when we arrived. We could get in at the original location in about 30 min.
Their menus was good. They had two vegetarian choices. We ordered veggie pizza and their famous Tomato pie Pizza.
In my opinion the pizzas were good but nothing out of the world.
You can come here for a good Facebook post that you visited this historic place but food was okay.

Meh. Just because it’s been around a very long time, does not mean it’s always good. Pizza was all sauce, no toppings, and truthfully, soggy. Glad we tried it, but have had better.
Service was mid. It’s so busy that the staff is definitely overworked and underpaid. They all seemed exhausted and uninterested. You also have to wait in an extremely long line & forget about parking…..
On a positive note, the sangria was pretty good.
