Great place for some chill, relaxed authentic food. The owners have now retired after decades of work, wish them nothing but the best!

This used to be my favorite Chinese place in the area. The service was never something to write home about, but the food was great! While I still think the food is overall good, the service has gone down to the point where we just can't eat there anymore. At the very least we would still order take out that way we didn't have to deal with them, but could still enjoy the food. But now they no longer pick up their phone. I guess they just don't actually want business? I don't get it.

Great dim sum spot in CT. Very attentive and wonderful staff.

I just had a terrible experience with this establishment. Even after reading the reviews, I wanted to give it a fair try. I ordered take-out, which they told us will take 45 minutes because the turnip cake takes awhile. Sure, that's fine; I can wait - it sounded like they made it in-house so I was excited about that. For reference, I have been to Hong Kong several times, my dad is from Hong Kong, I have been to dim sum in many parts in the country - so I know what the standards are for dim sum.I had the turnip cake, which was goopy and soft with no firmness than that of a typical turnip cake. There was more starch than turnip. It felt like it was undercooked, or could have been fried more. Something in the recipe was definitely off. It looked like a lump instead of rectangle, and it was hard to even use chopsticks to pick it up. We had half a bite and threw it away. The shrimp dumplings were undercooked with raw shrimp filling. The outside wrap was fine. We had one bite and once we realized it was RAW SHRIMP, we threw it all away.At $8/piece, you better bet you cook your food at minimum well done. I understand that inflation and real estate prices have gone up, but this should not make quality of the food suffer. This is 50% more than that of your typical dim sum prices. I wanted to support this restaurant and would have happily paid again if the quality matched other cheaper dim sum places. But it fell extremely short: it was inedible, overpriced, raw and can cause food-borne illnesses. Honestly, this restaurant should be inspected for quality control; I have no doubt that people have gotten sick from this place. This was the worst dim sum place I’ve ever had. I do NOT recommend going here and AVOID at all costs; especially for the dim-sum. Very disappointed and will never step foot again. I usually don't write such negative reviews, especially for Asian restaurants, but this was hands-down BAD. It should deserve negative stars. I'm still so mad about it.

We used to go to The Great Wall all the time. It was very good, freshly made food. It has gone totally down hill. What a shame. We were there last night, and unless we hear differently, we will never go back.

Ever since covid, this place has not been the same. The customer service is terrible and their price are raised. Everything is unprofessional. They gave us cold dumplings and it was not fresh.

Parking: Not much parking access.

UPDATED REVIEWFirst time back post pandemic and what a change - for the WORST!First off, most of the dim sum served is now food service frozen dim sum, not fresh. The dim sum menu is now only what cones out on the cart which is maybe 12 items, which is a fraction of the dim sum offerings pre-pandemic.Lastly, dim-sum dish served is now $8.50, where as pre-pandemic most items were $5.50.Prices have increased 35% for limited menu of frozen dim sum. What a disappointment! I will not be going back. While Golden Palace in Uncasville is a bit of a drive, it is well worth it in comparison to the "new" Great Wall!

It's not what it used to be. Went for dim sum at 1pm on a Sunday. Very little in selection and variety. Service very slow as well. Very sad compared to what I remembered of the place a few years ago. Very sad as it used to be THE BEST in the area. Over priced, underwhelming and no charm. Save your time and money and make the trip to NYC.

Parking: Limited spaces

Probably authentic but not for your average well traveled American. Waitress doesn’t speak English. I ordered Dim Sum but not one could tell me what my choices were. I thought was ordering sliced pork and accidentally ordered the chicken feet. They are not edible even for someone willing to try. The fried shrimp was flavorless. At $8 per item I left frustrated and hungry.

Fast, delicious, & cheap lunch. Three items of your choice with rice for $11 and I was outta there. Better than your standard fast food order out. P.s. i do not give 5 stars for fast food or take out. 4 stars is the highest rating. Highly recommended.

After much awaited time and renovations, the restaurant is back open. Me and my family have been waiting such a long time for dim sum to open back up. Man.....were we disappointed. So much money was spent on renovating, that the quality of there food is below subpar, everything seems to be frozen and not fresh It also seems that they have jacked up there prices to nearly double of what they were previously prior to renovation.Do yourself a favor and drive to Uncasville and go to Golden Palace, by far the best dim sum around and at half the cost.DO NOT GO TO GREAT WALL!!! You are wasting your money, you're better off ordering Chinese food.

One of the best Chinese food establishments in America. Superb selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Super fresh seafood options. This is a family favorite.
