It is a nice cozy place but the Indian food is mediocre. Could be much more flavorful. Prices are not bad but please up your food quality to standard Indian fare.

I tried 2-3 items, they were good. And ask for their eggplant chat thats really something i wanna keep ordering from there. They misplaced my order thats the issue i faced with them. But the food is good.

Flavors are outstanding, service was friendly, cocktails were really special, and prices were reasonable. What is not to love?

Great food, the cheese nans are to kill for. Just remember, when they spicey it is to Indian standards, avoid asking for extra spicey.

House of Naan is by far the best Indian food in New Haven!!! The chicken tikka masala and lamb jalfrazi are sensational, the cheese naan is fluffy and warm, the onion fritters and samosas are perfectly seasoned and super crispy. The service is great and the vibe is cozy! Parking is vv easy normally

Some of the best food I’ve had all year. Basically everything was a 10/10.
Started with the hot wings which tasted straight from Archie Moore’s, some of the best wings I’ve had all year which i didn’t expect from an Indian restaurant—not to mention very fair price considering the size of the wings and price of wings these days. Paneer Tikka was solid too, mint chutney was great.
Naan lived up to the restaurant name—wanted to try the cheese naan and it was almost TOO cheesy but if you’re looking for that, go for it. Garlic naan was amazing too. Yogurt and tikka masala dipping sauces came with the naan platter.
The entrees were excellent, I had the chicken tikka masala which I ordered medium which they brought mild. Regardless, it was amazing. Very fair portion, chicken was tender enough and curry was packed with flavor. Family got Chicken Madras, chicken Biryani, and salmon tandoori—all great.
Overall I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat, first time going and despite high expectations I was blown out by everything.

I’ve had a lot of good Indian but this was bar far the best Indian I’ve ever tasted. I had the Taka Masala with Lamb. We came to New Haven for the pizza. We had Sally’s and Pepe’s but this was the best food we tasted the whole trip!
