I visited this place often 2 times a month. Because it close to my apartment. I liked buffet and lunch menu at here. And I loved Indian foods. Recommend you try this place

Favorite Indian food in New Haven.Note: I’ve always ordered off the menu. Mostly because I eat there for dinner (no buffet offered). I think I was there once for lunch, but the buffet didn’t have some of my favorite items, so I just ordered from the menu.

Have eaten here for years and always been very pleased with everything I have ordered but yesterday I finally go to go for the Lunch Buffet. It was so well worth it. I enjoyed everything especially the Kheer :) Will be back for lunch!

Fake Google reviews worst Indian buffet ever ate this guy even keeps the candle under buffet trays off to save his money. Google should scrutinize their reviews seems to be from fake accounts or people. Not even.worth single star!!!!! Better go to naan restaurant on other side of street. Going to report to city if New Haven as they seem to be not even meeting the requirement they need to run the restaurant. Start of buffet time still no toilet paper messy restrooms. Wonder they wrote even Tandoor in their name may be just to fool people

I really do not understand the negative reviews. Best Indian buffet in the area. My only minor criticism is that they have the same items on the buffet every weekend but I like most of the items so it is not really a problem.Would be nice to get an eggplant dish one in a while.

We had wonderful attentive service and delicious food from appetizer to dinner! Everything was delicious, the chicken tiki Marsala was the best ever as was the rice and all the other meals we ordered. They also do take out so don’t miss it!

Place was in an old diner which was cool. Walter said this used to be a diner town so a bunch of restaurants is in old diner setups. They had mild, medium, med-hot, hot, v-hot, vv-hot, vvv-hot as their spice options. And let me tell you ..... hot is HOTTTT so be careful with your spice level! - Lamb Samosas 2 pieces $6.95 more lamb than filling - Okra Bhindi Masala $14.95 usually don’t get okra but this was really good. Didn’t have the stickiness okra usually has - Chicken Biryanis $16.95 "hot" was soooo spicy - Garlic Naan $4.95 thicker than usual but still good - Mango Lassi $4.95 watery but the flavor was there

If I had a chance I wouldn’t even give 1 star. Experience dining in here was so horrible. Owner is really rude. Food was just okay and please never order Biryani here because the owner thinks he knows a lot about biryanis and apparently his restaurant serves the best one since he’s from Punjab. I laughed so hard because I’m from Hyderabad and the Biryani here shouldn’t even be called as Biryani. ? He was rude to everyone that he was serving to. I wonder if he’s actually making any money with this horrible attitude.

Like the Place. We missed their buffet as we reached just after 3PM. So we order ala carte. Chicken, paneer, dal ,garlic naan and rice.Food was fresh and tasty. Service was nice. Owner himself attended us. We loved having food here. Must visist. Then we went to Yale University to explore the places nearby.

We travelled from Hartford to eat at this place for friday dinner. But our visit to this restaurant was a nightmare. The owner is really very rude and the customer service is horrible. We tried Gobi Manchurian and asked the spicy level to be Hot. To our utter surprise the manchurian was so hot that it burned our mouth. The owner should have explained the spice level before taking orders. Some of my friends ordered biryani but to their surprise it turned out to be a pulav.I won’t recommend visiting this restaurant to anyone.
