Spent of $40.00 for blk forest cake for my 70th b/day..I wanted to do something more special for myself for this mile stone...We were home within an hour of picking up cake..
Bottom layer and bottom layer ONLY, cracked in several places...only thing we could think to do was put it into the freezer and hope it isn't freezer burned!
Such a disappointment...lesson learned! We won't be 😔back.
My husband surprised me with a Princess cake. I mentioned I’d love to try one after seeing it in a baking show.
He searched online and Marjolaine’s was the only place he could find.
He drove over an hour to pick it up and it was well worth the drive!
We just picked up a Dacquoise. This one was a request from our daughter. We tried a smaller version that was in the case. It was absolutely delicious! So light and airy and the flavor was divine!

I was looking for a special request of the Marjolaine cake. I called 5 different local bakeries with no such luck. Called these lovely ladies the day before I needed the cake and they made it happen, well worth the drive from the MA/RI line to New Haven, CT. The cake needed to be frozen so I had taken a cooler with me, kept the cake frozen for the drive. Thank you again for being so accommodating for me. The cake is delicious! ☺️❤️
