Worst Turkish food I’ve ever hand. The liver has no taste. Just oil.

Good: Service, atmosphere, and location are great and invite you in. Very nice for a cosy conversation.
Food: got the mixed platter, meat was cooked well but no sauce or seasonings in anything including salt so was disappointed for $45 entree. “Mid” at best.
Real Turkish tea not available.
The manti was pretty good. Hummus was fine, decent quality as well.
If you want a good looking place with okay food, it’s “fine”. You’ll come hungry and leave okay.

I’d like to see the place improve on meat seasonings and options. Leaves much to be desired.

Great food and very calm chill atmosphere.
We tried the yogurtlu adana and chicken shish. Both were pretty good. Our host was nice and polite. He also warned us about the hot peppers, but I didn’t listen and observed the consequences firsthand :)

The Yogurtlu Adana was insanely good! Smoky beef from the charcoal fire, creamy butter, and the tangy yogurt sauce all came together perfectly. Absolutely unforgettable!

This place is incredible! We ordered the babaganush, falafel, grape leaves, cheese rolls, mucver, Shepard salad, and piyaz salad. Everything was incredible. The pita that came with the babaganush was warm and delicious. My favorite was the falafel which was fresh and came with great humus. Both salads were also amazing, and the white beans in the piyaz were so good. We would order it all again and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Midpoint!

Midpoint Istanbul is now my favorite restaurant in New Haven. Met a friend there yesterday for dinner. The food is so clean, meaning it is not full of chemicals and additives. I did not feel bloated at all, despite eating so much. Our servers: Z and Roze We’re amazing and I’m so glad I listened to the recommendations. Will definitely be back.

We went there on a Tuesday late afternoon and we were a party of 6 and with a baby. They only have indoor seatings. The food was good and with regular portions. Service was attentive. I highly recommend their chicken shish.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely chill vibe. The service was excellent. The food was good, and I personally found it to be too bland. I'm not sure if the chef is scared to use salt and spices, but it all tasted like it was being served in a senior center.

Disappointing. We were having dinner with another couple who were already seated when we arrived. They had already been served with drinks, but it took ages for a server to ask for our drink order. We chose Turkish wines, which turned out to be pretty good, but took a long time to arrive, as did our meals. My wife and I shared a prawn appetizer, which was OK. For the main dish, we both had lamb shish. A very simple, mostly bland arrangement of slices of roast lamb, a pat of white rice, half a tomato and a small roasted pepper. No sauce. The pepper turned out to be the only non-bland component - unexpectedly ultra-fiery. I have no problem with hot spices, provided they have flavour as well as heat. Unfortunately the roast pepper did not. The only good part of the evening was that the restaurant covered the parking fee in the nearby car park. We won't be back.
