Wide open area, the focus of many local shows and public attractions throughout warm seasonal times.Also the local/regional bus interchange.Restrooms: There used to be more porta-potties, near the area between the main bus hubs: but now only two (both located together on one corner of the green) exist and often times are occupied. Using restrooms is a crap shoot and usually exactly the word to describe the disgusting state of the interiors. But for those who can't hold it, unfortunately its the only option unless you get lucky with the town hall.

They are trying to make it better but in need of way more improvement the bus stops have homeless people sleeping there because a lot of times it's the only place they can find tons of drug activity and not enough security for citizens in general especially going to work passing through that area let's do better new haven do we need a new mayor ?

Nice area to walk through and maybe sit to enjoy company with another over some coffee. Plenty of food options near by to enjoy. Does have homeless around of course but they seem to be nice and innocent for the most part.

City allows free food and clothing give-aways in the park, and the organizers and recipients just throw their trash on the ground. I was bored and spent several hours picking up litter and only one person thanked me- don’t visit New Haven it is a garbage heap.
