Every time I have tried to get food here, the store has been closed and no one answers the phone. Is this place even open anymore?

Onion rings were very good
Sandwich was really really salty, needed more spice not salt

Also not to be TMI but after eating here i have been extremely sick on the toilet for about 6 hours now, not sure if a worker didn't wash their hands and had a stomach bug or something gave me extreme food poisoning, but sanitation is important

Hate bashing a small business since they did have good rings, but please make sure everything is up to code in the health aspect because i almost had to go ER for extreme dehydration from food poisoning

The was the first and last time ordering/dining at this establishment. You would think since the restaurant is in the heart of the Downtown New Haven area both, the service and food would be on point, however the entirety of my experience was not enjoyable and very subpar unfortunately.

I was thoroughly interested and excited to try out this fairly new restaurant in New Haven, but after being presented what was supposed to be my order: (2) Two OG's and (2) two orders of regular Fries I was immediately dumbfounded, unamused and quite perturbed with what was presented. The service was horrible, the cook had a nasty attitude, the food portions were minimum and nothing including their menu was as advertised. I was presented false advertising and a clear bait and switch. $40+ for soggy subs and nasty soggy fries.

The OG subs clearly advertise that the subs allegedly come with extra Steak, extra Provolone Cheese and extra Onions but, ummm where was the extra because my subs collectively didn't have anything extra and were standard run of the mill steak and cheese subs; they even have the audacity to NOT provide lettuce, tomato and/or bell peppers without charging your it...$40 wasn't enough and then to add insult to what was already an injury it's too much for them too cut the sub I'm half.

The restaurant was empty which should have been a clear indication but, I figured I'd give this establishment the benefit of the doubt, wow that was a huge mistake. The staff was discourteous, had attitudes especially when I mentioned that my subs did not look like as advertised, were dismissive and to add the grill was not clean, the pilot light was off which the cook was trying to light with a standard lighter, the workers had no gloves on, no hairnets and the cook put the lettuce and tomato on the steak while cooking on the grill which made no sense.

The rewards membership doesn't get honored let alone does it work on their kiosk; the experience was horrible and was nothing as I had initially anticipated...It was definitely a waste of time and hard earned money. The subs were overpriced, soggy, tasteless and the fries were greasy and soggy because obviously the fryer was inoperable SMH. NEVER AGAIN, I will be contacting corporate to file a formal complaint about the rudeness, unprofessionalism, disservice, unsanitary conditions and handling of food and

the high prices asked for such lousy service. I want a full refund, the entirety of this situation was truly unfathomable!!

My husband brought me here and lo a picky eater especially with steak & all l have to say is from service till the end of dessert time came and we had breadphilly for dessert OMG cherry on Top. Yes we will go back. Thank You all.

I went here on my lunch. Tried to use the kiosk and it wouldn't work. Ordered at the register and asked for a junior popcorn chicken combo. I received a junior Philly cheese steak combo with cheese whiz and unions, neither of which I eat. I tried to call the restaurant and after 20 attempts, gave up and wrote this review. When I called the restaurant and passed option 3 for someone at the restaurant, the call would disconnect.

The sandwiches a lot smaller than the imagery portrays. The cheese was on the sandwich, but you couldn’t really tell it was there. It didn’t make a statement for it to be a cheesesteak. And the meat and pepper seasoning.

Ordered off Uber Eats on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by a killer sandwich, definitely Highly recommend! The chicken Philly was absolutely fantastic!

I haven’t been to this location, but I live in the Norwich area, and it seems like this location gets more effort and attention. As a customer, I love the Philly bread, but I can’t get it at the Norwich location because they never have the product. Additionally, at times there are inconsistencies with portion sizes when ordering the fries with meat. I called both locations the other day to see ask about the Philly bread but couldn’t get anyone on the line.

As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I can say that these types of habits will prevent the business from growing past a certain point, with all due respect. I want to support the business but makes it tough with these types of issues. If the owner or manager sees this, I hope you can correct these issues in the near future.

One of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had, and that's after considering all the great places in New Haven County; Philly's absolutely holds its own.
