Friendly service and perfect atmosphere for a weekend brunch. I love the pastries!

This is such a cute café, I love their beverages and the Middle Eastern flair. They have to their menu. Pistachio, rose, cardamom, these are flavors that you’ll find throughout their menu.

The owner is an architect, and it shows in the decor. This is a very pleasant café to be in, and they have a full service restaurant as well.

Saw this cafe on instagram and had to stop in to try. The service was AMAZING. Definitely try the pistachio latte it’s one of a kind.

Disappointing and overpriced for what it is. We ordered a dish that was supposed to feed three people, but it barely came with enough bread for one — and when we asked for more, the manager instructed the server to charge us extra. For $50, you’d expect a quality, freshly made meal and 2 drinks, but instead everything tasted like it came straight from a can. The foul medames wasn’t even smashed, and the metallic taste from the canned ingredients was noticeable. The halloumi cheese tasted off, and to top it off, the server almost dropped the entire tray on us. We barely touched or finished anything except for the hallwa. Overall, it felt like we were being charged a premium for subpar, low-effort food. Definitely not worth it. Just go to Dama Rose if you want Syrian breakfast.

Second Review in response to owner:

If your goal was to double down on arrogance instead of taking accountability, congratulations — your response nailed it. Rather than acknowledging poor service and underwhelming food, you chose to gaslight your customers by framing honest criticism as ignorance of “Syrian technique.”

Let’s be clear: it wasn’t about regional differences. Smashed or not, it was about the lack of freshness, the metallic taste of the ful, etc. Syrian cuisine is vibrant and rich — what we were served was bland, flavorless, and clearly not made with the care or quality you claim. The bread issue alone (charging extra when you’ve barely provided enough for one person let alone three on a $30+ dish) shows where your priorities lie — not in hospitality, but in squeezing every last cent from your guests.

Your patronizing tone — telling people to go elsewhere if they “expected Egyptian food” — doesn’t make you sound proud of your heritage. It makes you sound defensive and out of touch. Great restaurants know how to educate without being smug. You chose smug.

Thanks for confirming that your establishment isn’t interested in feedback or growth. Next time, put more energy into your food than your ego.

The food and the ambiance it's good sadly the service it's terrible . I have been at this location 3 times and it's always the same, staff it's unkind, slow and not concern about cleaning the tables to let guess sit. They are very into their own personal conversation, sad because the place has great food and a nice atmosphere. I'm not going back rather to go to terrain in Westport where the prices are the same and service is amazing.

Ordered a few pastries online. Showed up, most things are out of stock and not ready. Charged me though.
Everything was DISGUSTING.
Lemon tart is a jello goo with crunchy merengue.
Cake pop is gross, it is literally inedible.
Limoncello was alright, not worth almost $10 a slice!
Never going back.
It’s a cute place though.

PS
Love the cute sarcasm.seriously. 🤣
Nevertheless :
1. Merengue should NOT be crunchy like sand on your teeth,
2. The filling really was extremely tough.
3. I was charged the whole amount upfront when I placed an order. If it’s such a common issue, do not offer online ordering. Or update your inventory regularly.
4. I did find the place to be very cute and the staff was very nice.
Why can’t I say both? 🤣 I loved the place and hated the food.i gave an HONEST review. Please do not bully me. 🙄
I’m wishing your business success and prosperity. Be open to criticism though.

First time in this place. Love the decorations. Very impressive. Food was delicious, especially the sweets. Friendly staff, we had to wait to get our food. That was the only thing that we didn't like.

Honestly, some of the rudest customer service I’ve ever encountered. I came here with my mom and we were both very excited, especially because we love supporting Muslim owned business. We bought our deserts and drinks, which ended up being around $60, and then when we were going to sit down, one of the girls working there who had a pixie cut (Fynin?) started rudely yelling we couldn’t sit there and it was dine in only. But we were dining in so we were very confused. She told us we could sit on the left side on the stools. My mom’s much older and couldn’t sit on the stools, so we felt very embarrassed. She was very disrespectful and her behavior was odd. We decided we would not be returning. It was an overall horrible experience and we would not recommend this place since the people involved don’t have good values.

I was recommended by a friend. It was a Sunday afternoon, so they were very busy. I got a hot tumeric chai, Turkish delights, and a strawberry mousse cake. The chai did not have a distinct chai flavor, it mostly tasted like milk, very smooth though. The strawberry mousse cake was okay, the filling was very good but nothing else was special. Turkish delights were fine. The atmosphere is very pretty and aesthetic though!

This place is such a Wow factor from food, ambiance, customer service, etc. 9.22.24 was my 1st time visiting. We found free (wknd) street parking. You can order and sit inside or outside. Or you can get full table service. Our group opted for self service, we ordered pastries and sat indoors. It's so fancy and pretty inside that we took many photos. The food items are just incredible, so you'll need to visit yourself and try.

Parking: Free street parking on the weekends
