Quality of coffee: 4 - good espresso drinks. I've tried them a couple dozen times and they have become more consistent this past year or so. There are flavoring options like hazelnut etc. Coffee (black) is slightly above average. Atmosphere: 4.5 - great seating areas and nooks in a historic hotel. Usually, students are studying at the various tables. Location: 5 - heart of downtown within walking distance to hundreds of restaurants and great bus/train service. Service: 5 - helpful staffValue: 4 - decent pricing Average: 4.5I can't recommend food options, as I've only had coffee here.

Vegetarian options: Great atmosphere and decor behind the Graduate Hotel Lobby. They nailed 1920s Yale/New Haven. Great Gatsby-ish. Large wood-paneled cozy backroom library for studying w/ coffee. Excellent chai latte, croissants, and quick oatmeal

Buckets of charm to this amazing cafe adjacent to the lobby of an equally charming hotel, The Duncan. Ambience was relaxed, comfortable and mellow with lots of droll design details to fill in one's experience. I can't think of a better spot in New Haven for a rendezvous. Added bonus of being on the same block as the mid-century architectural landmark Rudolph Hall, by brutalist master and Yale icon, Paul Rudolph. And the coffee & croissant were fab too!

This was the first coffee shop I tried after moving to New Haven. It exceeded expectations! The coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere of the cafe is magical and absolutely gorgeous! This will be my work spot going forward. I recommend the snickerdoodle latte!

Visiting from Seattle for my sister’s graduation this week, this is the best coffee I’ve found in New Haven. It’s perfect iced coffee weather and I’ll be popping in here as often as I can get away with in between the festivities!

STUNNING! The coffee is amazing and the place is beautiful! As a barista myself it is always great to find a place where they know how to do coffee. Definitely recommend!
