We sat at the bar for a quick bite to eat on our visit to see Yale. Our bartender was so friendly and welcoming, he made you feel like we were friends for years! He made a fresh batch of bloody Mary mix and it was one of the best I've had! My salmon tacos were ok. Salmon was a little dry but I appreciated the crispy edges. I did take the tenders recommendation to add a little salt and lemon which helped. My husbands ceasar salad with chorizo was very tasty, he also enjoyed the wide variety of more unique draft options! This place was great and just down our alley!

Rudy's new haven
My drink was tampered with by the bartender after hours, locked in the bar between 12-1am on Tuesday, September 16th 2025. I tried reaching out by Instagram DM and followed up with a screenshot by email but have yet to hear back about video footage. It was a scary experience where I was pressured to have sex with the bartender (name upon request, very young looking with a moustache his girlfriend, also a bartender, with a foot boot) by someone that knew them well. After having a little bit of the “water with essence” that was bitter, I have no memory of getting into a Lyft and making my way back to safety.

My brother and I were in town visiting family and came here early in the afternoon and had the pleasure of being served by Kevin who was super nice and accommodating.
The food was also very tasty and affordable. We had the chicken quesadilla which was delicious and split a BLAT with fries. All of the fries come with a choice of like 20 dipping sauces. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. we made many friends at the bar and would be regulars if we lived in the area.

Best dinner experience in New Haven while visiting from NY. I had the Cesar salad and ribeye steak, both were delicious. Five star dining on a beer budget! Highly recommend. Also great selection of craft beers both local and international. Very friendly atmosphere.

This place has an excellent chef and a terrible bartender.
The two burgers that we ordered here were great, as were the fries. No complaints regarding the food.
The service, however, was awful. When I stopped by with a friend, there were only two other people at the bar. The bartender ignored us for at least ten minutes while chatting loudly with his buddies until I finally walked over and asked to order. I cut service workers a lot of slack because of the crap they deal with, but this dude genuinely acted like a jerk and seemed to think simply taking our order was a huge chore.
I've been to a lot of bars, but until now I've never had a reason to write a bad review.

Bald guy is super rude. Treats me and my friends extremely rudely. We were minding our own business, not a frat crowd at all, and he looked at our IDs and saw international names and treated us super poorly. Not the safest for people of color.
