Was just passing through town and came with a group looking for a bite. The food was incredible and the waiter was so charismatic and had us cracking up laughing. the saag paneer had beautiful warming spices. our waiter gave great recommendations as well, he seemed to really care about our experience there. i wish i lived here so i could come back again and again!

New favorite spot. Ordered the paneer saag for pick-up and asked to substitute with chana (I’ve been informed this is not at all traditional) so I greatly appreciate them accommodating my dietary restriction. The saag was delicious and perfectly complimented by the basmati rice and the roti I ordered. I’ve walked past this place a few times, and it smells so good from the street it stops me in my tracks. I absolutely love Sitar, it's my favorite Indian restaurant in New Haven. Meat dishes are quite good but the vegetarian fare is where they really shine. The baigan bharta is the best I've ever had, I cannot recommend it enough! We order it every time and have yet to find a real competitor on that dish.
