Don’t understand the mixed reviews, I’ve been ordering takeout from this place very often for three years and the sushi is always of great quality and very fresh. I’ve gotten salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and shrimp tempura sushi and it’s always been well prepared, neat, and tastes amazing. The food comes out real quick too, and you can get a good amount of sushi for a fairly good value. Can’t speak to anything other than the sushi here, but would definitely recommend to a friend.

Very disappointed, I think they used normal long grain white rice and not sushi rice. Everything tasted old. The tempura veggies were raw.

This was the worse Japanese food ever, I was staying across from restaurant at the Marriott hotel and thought I would try them out, BIG MISTAKE the food had funky smell and tasted burnt. I brought 2 orders of Hibachi shrimp combos and we took 2 bites and both of us threw it away, the soups looked like dirty dish water. Now I see why we were the only customers there. I come to New Haven every summer and I will never recommend this dump to no body.

The food is trash. I got the soggy general tso with gloomy fried rice and overcooked hard chunks of pork in it. I haven't had it but I wouldn't recommend the sushi either if they can mess up chicken and rice so badly.

Stopped in to grab a bite for quick takeout. Got the Salmon Avocado roll and New Haven Roll. The rolls were HUGE. Very Delicious! Customer service was excellent.

I always enjoy seeing the family working there. Food is quick, service is good. It's usually quiet which is good if you don't like to eat around a lot commotion.

Just tried Sushi Mizu for takeout for the first time and I have to say it was delicious. Very pleasant surprise due to the mixed reviews.I will admit walking in made me question if I made the right call. I would highly suggest taking out, but undoubtedly the food was great.I got the KFC Bao (a must), eel avocado roll, shrimp avocado roll, New Haven roll (amazing!), and a Yaki Udon w/ beef (good - think beef lo mien not as oily, and had a good array of veggies: mushroom, broccoli, zucchini, and carrots). All was great, I will be returning, seems like a nice working family.
