Since my favorite Indian restaurant of all time has closed down (RIP Star of India), I have to find a suitable replacement. Tandoor is pretty good but my only problem is the price. It’s just about $20 for any entree you order and then they come in the smallest containers. So, for instance, the chicken tikka masala was $20 and there was probably less than 10 cubes of chicken in the container. Same goes for the palak paneer so it costs a lot of money for one person to eat, let...

Not sure why the rating on this is only 3.8 given that the food is great, the prices are unbeatable, and it's been a staple of downtown New Haven even before they changed the name to Tandoor. My bro and I had post-Christmas lunch with the Buffet option and it was fantastic (Bro got a vegan dish, I had the Vindaloo). Underrated!

Found this place watching A Julia Robert’s film, After the hunt, on Amazon prime and so glad I went. Best Indian food since I’ve left London. Great location, great portions, reasonable price and courteous owners.
