I actually loved this bar and thought they were great until the bill came. At some point the bar tender made more espresso martinis than a their customers asked for and offered them to us. She said “I have extra do you want it?” So we said yes. At the end of the night we noticed an extra $12 charge. When I questioned her about it she claimed “you asked for it earlier.” When I reminded her of the circumstances she said “well I gave you like 3 free beers, which also wasn’t true bc I kept track of our beers. At the end, I just ended up paying because she pressured us in it. Good atmosphere and the bar tenders work their butts off but they definitely will try to push their mistakes off on you assuming you are drunk.

Delicious food!! I highly recommend the fish and chips, it's perfectly crisp and fresh with good tartar sauce and cut fries. The Irish do it well. Also the nachos are properly spread in a large tray with plentiful toppings and dips. I enjoy sitting at the booths and it's quieter during lunch, but it gets loud and busy closer to the bar area especially during the evening. There's nice outdoor seating next to the pitkins plaza too. Parking is difficult on the street you may need to find a garage or walk a few blocks. Service also may be slow but it's worth the good food! Prices are great too.

Great no thrills Irish pub. Their food is made in house and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a real pub that pours proper pints of Guinness. This is the spot

Cool stereotypical Irish pub, enjoyed it. Didn't care for the drunk who pooped all over the stall and rubbed it all over. That was gross. But I don't think there's anything the bar could do about that. They threw him out and cleaned it up, that's about all they could do.

Pear salad came with hot sauce, that’s my only complaint. Music was great and the calamari was amazing.

Food is delicious, prices are unbeatable. All waitstaff is 10/10. Bartenders are knowledgeable and super fast. Great place to get a quick bite & beer or have dinner - there’s even a private room in the back to celebrate any occasion. ALSO - The Shepherds Pie is literally to die for. That & The Guinness Stew. Honestly everything is great - Love this place!

This is the best Irish pub in New Haven, if not Connecticut. The food is always great and the service is as well. My regular server, Alexis, is the best and always so attentive. Make sure to try the popcorn chicken, quesadilla and the fish and chips! 5/5

Hands down the best experience! Alexis was lightning-fast and super friendly, whipping up tasty drinks that hit the spot every time. And the shepherd's pie? To die for! Huge shoutout to Emery and Meg, the bartenders who absolutely killed it - their service was top-notch and made the whole evening unforgettable! 🍴👍

I had an unforgettable experience thanks to Alexis, who truly went above and beyond! From the moment I sat down, her warm smile and unmatched hospitality made me feel so welcome—it was like being hosted by a close friend. She brought such great energy to the table, it elevated the entire visit.

And the food? Off the charts. The popcorn chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the Guinness stew was rich, hearty, and absolutely delicious. Alexis, thank you for turning a simple meal into a memorable experience. I’ll definitely be back—and asking for you!
