I had ordered a Smash ? with Jalapeños it wasn't seasoned at all and buns wasn't Toasted made bread soggy all messy . I also asked for simple Drinks like Piña colada and coquito and a Waitress chubby thick white lady I'm sorry I don't know her name asked me what type of drinks are those and I told her they were Hispanic puerto rican drinks she said there not Puerto Rican so that's why she don't know what those drinks where and they didn't have like Condense milk that's part of one of the Ingredients in drinks it's understanding no problem but what she said made me uncomfortable maybe the way she said it what made me uncomfortable. I've been to other white restaurant bars in new haven that know what a Piña colada and Coquito drinks are even if they didn't have some of the stuff that's in the drinks they would Substitute certain ingredients or make a Similar drink she was a bit lazy about it I'm very sad and ? Disappointed because I've been wanting to come to this place since ? I just moved to new haven ct and I've been here that one time it was a different time and Experience, this was the 2nd time, it was to show my hubby how good food was but the food was soggy and messy And not even season at all I eat half ? ? ? couldn't eat the rest or take it home . It was $40 wow I didn't mind the price but The food was not Quality or up to par I don't know what happened from 2 months ago to now there was a different Waitress I don't remember her name but she was super nice and she made me a drink with no problems ? I do remember she'd told me she worked at a different bar Restaurant that's very popular in new haven , any ways back to today . I'm what that thick white lady Waitress said to me was wired and uncomfortable if you don't know what something is it's understandable but to say things like I'm not Puerto rican I don't know what drinks they where I told her the most humble way you don't have to be Puerto Rican or Hispanic to know what drinks those are and I smiled I was so uncomfortable . If your Hispanic or Latino don't even bother asking this women for any Hispanic drinks you will feel super out of place and uncomfortable.

Loved the place! Sara was super sweet and the food was so good for how well priced it was during happy hour. Would totally recommend to anyone passing by in the area. The guests around us at the bar were very nice as well and provided us recommendations as we are visiting the are for the first time.
