Listen here, I've gotta tell ya about this fantastic little hotspot called Yale Cabaret Theater. Now, I know a thing or two about performance, and let me assure you, this place is the cat's meow.

First off, it's got that intimate black box setup, which means you're right there in the thick of things. These actors? They're not just any actors. They're Yale MFA students, the cream of the crop. And get this - when they're not up on stage, they're servin' up your drinks and dinner. Talk about a dynamic workforce!

Now, I've always said that the arts are the lifeblood of our nation, and Yale Cab proves it. The productions they put on? They're like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get. One night it's a hard-hitting drama, the next it's a comedy that'll have you rollin' in the aisles. Sometimes they'll throw in a little dance, maybe some music, and occasionally - now don't tell anyone I said this - you might even see some scantily clad students. It's all part of the artistic expression, you understand.

But here's the kicker - these shows, they don't stick around long. So you gotta be quick on the draw. Book early, or if you're feelin' lucky, try your chances at the door. And let me tell you, if you manage to catch all the Yale Cabs in a season, well, you're in for a real treat.

Now, I've always been a man of the people, and I appreciate good service. That's why I've gotta emphasize - and I mean really emphasize - the excellent food service at those 8 PM shows. It's like clockwork, folks. You sit down, and before you know it, these talented actors-turned-servers are bringing you a delicious meal. The menu? Tasty and won't break the bank. And for those of you who enjoy a little libation with your entertainment, they've got wines by the glass or bottle, and beer too. It's like a five-star restaurant meets Broadway, right here in New Haven.

So come on down to Yale Cabaret Theater. It's got that funky vibe, those attractive young actors, and enough weird art to keep things interesting. Trust me, folks, this place is more fun than a... well, it's a lot of fun. And that's no lie.

Seating is so tight, it can be uncomfortable if you’re big. Getting a table seemed great. Decent prices on the wines.

In my opinion the Yale Cab has the best plays in town and the best actors. I always get a season pass and enjoy every thought provoking play. Get here early for some dessert and a drink, along with a good place to sit.

Great to experience the shows created , acted and produced by students. They even wait on tables. Usually very good meals . Friendly audience, shared tables lend to an all and all good night out in New Haven.

Very strange but overall a fun and engaging atmosphere. I came with no foreknowledge or expectations, and what I got was a beautiful dinner with a nice house wine pairing, and some freaky performance art and live music show. The artists do a great job engaging with the audience and drawing them into the show/après show discussion. Normally not really my thing but the food was great, wine was flowing and I got to see some weird art.

This is an interesting space, there is no usual scene. The fact that there are tables adds to the atmosphere. The performance went too far with pathos

Another great show, and excellent dinner & drinks! If you like being close to the action, you'll love the intimacy of the Cabaret, during the summer season and during the school year.

This is the best theater in New Haven. Experimental shows by talented students. Also, Yale School of drama students act as servers and provide excellent service
