This is REAL NEOPOLITAN PIZZA. I went there recently with my cousins, who are from Naples, and they said it was as if they were back in Italy. Forget the cardboard Americanized pizza. This pizzeria is authentic and the owner is genuine. Cannot recommend enough.
I had high hopes after reading all the reviews and still the pizza and salad exceeded expectations. I worried the arugula and prosciutto would be cooked on the Ventura, but I was pleased to see it was not. Don’t be the fool waiting in line at Sally’s when this gem is only two blocks away! Plus, bonus pastry shop across the street.
What a find. Amtrak stranded me at the New Haven station with 2 hours until my train, and the food choices at the station are not great. Thanks to Google maps and 15 minutes of brisk walking I was able to find my way to New Haven's Little Italy and Zeneli's restaurant. Both the fresh mozzarella salad and the cacio e Pepe were delicious, and the people were very friendly.
