not sure why people rave about this place. nothing was seasoned. Unsalted butter for steamers, unsalted soggy fries. the fish is unsalted. Tartar sauce has barely any pickles in it might as well just serve straight mayo, and the Rhode Island clam chowder like a cup of boiled potatoes.
Stood in line for 45 mins and Clam strips, fries and clam fritters were cold and tasted like old oil. Do not recommend at all!

Lobster Roll Season
Captain Scott's Lobster Dock 👎🏾
❤️City of New London❤️
I have to be honest and admit that I was so nervous heading back to Captain Scott's this season because I have enjoyed some really great Lobster Rolls around the SECT area and I knew that Captain Scott's would not fare well in an official 'Big Al's Reel Review' and sadly I was correct.

Menu
Captain Scott's Lobster Dock is a restaurant located on a cove, offering a picturesque view of sailboats and ample parking. The menu features a variety of dishes, including fish and chips, salmon BLT, swordfish dinner plate, whole belly clams, clam fritters, shrimp po'boy, and a small hot lobster roll described as delicious. Diners recommend dunking the lobster roll in the creamy lobster bisque filled with pieces of lobster. While the whole belly clams and salmon BLT still receive positive reviews, the clam fritters continue to be criticized for being tough and lacking clam. The restaurant provides a patio on the docks, easy online ordering, and excellent service, which is noted as very well organized. Diners appreciate the nice atmosphere and beautiful setting, especially during outdoor events like YARN concerts. On nice weather days, the wait can be long, but it doesn't seem bad with views of the marina and passing trains. While some guests have traveled from far away just to enjoy the food, there are occasional disappointments, such as with the frozen calamar and the scallop dinner. Overall, Captain Scott's remains a favorite spot for many, with the Schooner lemonade drink being a popular choice among diners.
