I have been back in Dayton Ohio for a little over 2 years. I have tried to find a place that does breakfast as well as Jakes. I have found one that I like very much, but I have never seen eggs done over easy as fantastic as Jakes are. We were living on Fishers Island for 19 years before we moved back and we would take the ferry as often as we could . Jake and his family are welcoming to all.
i just wanted to shoutout Jake's Diner for their above and beyond customer service. i placed an order on door dash because I had knee surgery and its a rainy day. The door dash driver delivered me someone else order from a whole different place and then tried to blame it on the restaurant. when I called the restaurant they made me a whole new fresh order and even delivered it to me and they dont even deliver. We had breakfast and it was delicious. Nicole was wonderful and Jake was great. Funny guy, told us the place was closed when we walked in then started laughing saying he has been wanting to say that and no one has taken him seriously until we walked in 😂
