Jake's Diner on State Street

Walking distance from our hotel. Jake is an amazing chef as well as a hospitable owner who greets everyone with a smile. Such an honor to support a local business. And his potatoes are from out of this world!

Food was delightful and staff was super friendly. Jake himself was cooking and even came out to help the waiter with the tables. I got to talk with him and he is a really nice guy!

Great place for breakfast. Right around the corner from the hotel we're staying at. Diner food at its best. Service was prompt and courteous, food was hot and fast, and the price was reasonable.

The business was closed due to Clelebrate New London. The owner and employees were inside with the door locked as customers were pulling on the handle. He made a sandwich for my buddy and myself which was pretty good. Bacon, egg, cheese

The food was delicious. We had pancakes, bacon, savory grits and the California eggs Benedict. The staff and other diners were great to chat and laugh with.

Placed a pickup order through doordash but the store was closed upon arrival for pickup. Store hours posted on both google and in front of the store are 7:30-2. Pickup arrival was 12:32. Just a little disappointed that I didn’t get the meal I was looking forward to. I had to cancel the order through doordash.

i just wanted to shoutout Jake's Diner for their above and beyond customer service. i placed an order on door dash because I had knee surgery and its a rainy day. The door dash driver delivered me someone else order from a whole different place and then tried to blame it on the restaurant. when I called the restaurant they made me a whole new fresh order and even delivered it to me and they dont even deliver. That type of service is rare now a days. I will continue to support our local businesses. Thank you so much!

It was great. The prices on Google don't match the restaurant in person but that's expected. Everything was good. The service was awesome. Would recommend to everyone.
