Cowboy Butter Reviews
Portions seemed small, the meats were well done.
Quiet in the afternoon during the week, so it was perfect to relax and eat. Server was nice and knowledgeable. Food came fairly quickly and was great! The picture is of the lunch chili bowl.
Summer 2026 Cookout Review:
For the second year in a row, Cowboy Butter catered our end-of-summer cookout, and once again, they absolutely knocked it out of the park! After they blew us away last year, we had sky-high expectations, but Nicole and her incredible staff somehow managed to raise the bar even higher.

Cowboy Butter is a restaurant in town that has built a strong following for its southern-style barbecue. During the week, afternoons are quiet, making it a perfect place to relax and eat. The server is nice and knowledgeable, and the food comes fairly quickly and is great. The lunch chili bowl is one option.
Cowboy Butter has catered events for several years, including summer cookouts and a July 4th party. The brisket and wings receive special nods, and the ribs, pulled pork, and savory sides are also hits. The mac and cheese, green beans, potato salad, coleslaw, spicy creamed corn, and smoky baked beans are stellar. The catering setup is seamless, professional, and stress-free. Leftovers are packaged up for guests to bring home.
In person, a party of 9 found the service very attentive. Apps include Texas twinkled, Cajun butter shrimp, brisket queso, 3 types of wings — Texas dry rub, Chipotle Buffalo, and whistling bourbon BBQ — and Stagecoach mussels. Entrees include chicken fried steak, NY sirloin, loaded baked potatoes with pulled pork, beef short ribs, beef brisket, and baby back ribs. Some found the brisket and baby back ribs dry. One guest was charged for ketchup, and another found sides and corn bread added to the bill. A $20 burger does not include fries.
