Food price / quality (value) rating 9. The atmosphere is casual roadside tavern / family restaurant. A typical tavern menu at reasonable prices. I had the Riverside Burger which was excellent. The wife had the Crispy Chicken River egg roll appetizer and that was very good. We sat at the bar this visit, but typically we sit out next to the beautiful river flowing along the edge of the property. We've been here several times and have never had a bad experience.

I'm from South-Africa and I discovered the 202 tavern while working in the area, after my first visit I fell in love with this restaurant.Their food and service is great, definitely will be back for a visit.Vegetarian options: If you love your hamburger but don't like the veggie burger patty that tast like nothing, then definitely try the veggie burger as it's the best veggie burger I ever had.

Had prime rib. Was my birthday. It lacked flavor and veggies were from frozen and rice came with it instead of potato and the rice was flavorless too and seemed par boiled.do not recommend this place for prime rib. Tasted like a TV dinner.

will never go here again. our vehicle was damaged while we had dinner, tailgate was stolen right off our truck. waitress knew the people and wouldn't cooperate, faced obstruction charges, deleted video and refused to supply credit card receipts, said "everyone paid cash that night". owner pretended to not speak English. state trooper said it wasn't the first time they have been there, and we are out $900 in damages. waitress warned her friends of possible larceny charges and the tailgate mysteriously appeared overnight. owner was able to call trooper and tell her the tailgate was returned after claiming he didn't speak English. will never go here again, beware. Still have to pay to fix the wiring to the reverse camera
Kind of disappointed. Kept seeing this place and thought we'd try it. Cute setting right by a beautiful stream. They were extremely under staffed with a bartender and a waitress running around like crazy. Felt bad for them. Waitress was super nice despite being overwhelmed. Food was just okay. Mussels were fine in a nice white wine sauce. We had a brisket dinner. Brisket was over cooked and not moist at all. Portion size was in the small size and sides were underwhelming. But, we're gonna try again because the burgers they brought to other tables looked amazing.

okay, 2nd time here. Three of us... me my wife and an old friend. Waitress pleasant and attentive. Food, drink orders timely. My wife and I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwiches, burgers with sides... my friend didn't care much for the fish and chips... oh well he liked the fries and cole slaw.The reason we will likely not ever return is this:We arrived around 2:00PM. Since the restaurant is small and filled up, we chose to sit in booth at bar side. Couple of guys chugging beers are joined by a male/female couple. For the next hour or so, we hear repeated use of F bombs and references to womens' anatomies. My wife accounted for at least 50 times, but I'm sure it was more. I'm not a prude, nor are we pure, but if this is the bar scene you want, then advertise it as such. You're not a family place and I don't plan to revisit. Really, you want the drunks to start in at noon? Seriously, I am Board Chair of a private social club that would have kicked out this element much sooner. Apparently you need the money to survive?For all the rest of you, if you want strong language, this is the place for you.

I would give it zero starts but that’s not an option. My friend and I have been there several times, horrible service, they mistreat us poorly because we’re in our younger 20s. No one checks on us, takes 10-15 minutes just to be waited on. They have served us drinks multiple times before, my friend didn’t have her wallet / ID ONCE because I was driving (but have been served before just from being there multiple times when given ID) and they refused. Food took way too long, we got dessert to go and when the waitress brought the bill, we were charged for dessert but never received it. Really disappointed because this is our usual spot - not anymore.Just a PSA- my friend and I both make plenty of money and tip waiters / waitresses more than usual, because we are selves are waitresses - I’ve never tipped less than 25% but I recently tipped below 20% here because of how horrible they treated us here.

I had passed the Tavern many times when driving through town and finally got to stop in for lunch. It is an unassuming looking place, which often has lots of cars parked there and I was pleasantly surprised. It is very clean, there is a cool bar, lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a large covered outdoor space as well. The server was very friendly and helpful. We had two chicken club salads with ranch and I have to say these were the so delicious. I never expect a salad to taste that good. The chicken was warm and very juicy, the salad very flavorful and the ranch dressing tasted homemade. We look forward to coming back for dinner including wings!
