Decent enough food- service was good- charging a ridiculous price for chips and salsa $10.50- an appetizer price for something that is free at almost all Mexican restaurants. Even though the food was decent it did not match the price they’re asking.
Excellent service, delicious options
Great Tacos my girl got a burrito my parents got enchilada everything was great.
Great service
My only complaint is that my burrito was served basically in a pool of water/tomato juice from the tomatoes they put on top. The flavor was not bad but the texture and how it was presented to me was less than appealing. Servers were kind. It was quite hysterical because in the dining room they were playing corny bland 90's/2000's songs which was competing against loud rhythmic music that was being played in the kitchen. Not a complaint but more so funny. I would have preferred the rhythmic music haha.
Reasonable prices staff is excellent and courteous. If you go away hungry it's your own fault portions a very generous.
I typically dont leave poor reviews BUT as a native New Yorker and traveler, I feel responsible to leave an honest review to prevent other ppl expecting a “progressive” dining experience from being disappointed. From the decor to the food; everything is below average and outdated. Biggest No No is they actually charge for chips and salsa. I am including photos of a local restaurant in my town - that actually is progressive. You can judge for yourself if La Llorona even comes close - And of course they include complimentary infinite from- scratch delicious chips and salsa. We hv several authentic Mexican restaurants in our area and they ALL include complimentary homemade chips n salsa. I’ve only been to one other Mexican restaurant that charged for chips n salsa and that restaurant only lasted a few months before shutting down. Our meals at La Llorona had little flavor, no garnish and taste like something you would order at a theme park. Llorona, unless you are willing to update your overall Interior and actually serve well prepared food; please remove “Progressive” from your business name and stop charging for chips and salsa!! Otherwise change your name simply to Llorona and save many customers from leaving your restaurant llorando.
Food was good but way too expensive for what it was. Drinks were the most reasonable part we thought- we spent $20 on just chips & salsa/guac. They were delicious but I wouldn’t spend that much on it again. Good service & great outdoor seating, perfect for a nice day.
Love the food and mango margarita.
It is my favorite Mexican food restaurant, and they're so accommodating with large parties. Food is amazing and the service is fast and friendly, even with a large party. By the way, their "Queso poblano" is the best I have ever had. If you haven't been...it's a must if you're in the area. If you're far, it's still worth the drive.

We wanted to know what "Progressive" meant. The food has a Mexico heritage, but with different tastes and experiences. Worthwhile if you're an explorer.
The Margaritas had a very strong lime flavor. It seemed wildy unbalanced .
Unlike typical a Mexican restaurant, there are no complimentary chips and salsa; you have to pay for them. I took off one star for that.
