Tried the chicken wings and waffles, and hash fries to-go.
Chicken wings were fried to perfection and the various sauces were great compliments.
The hash fries were delicious.
Found the waffle too sweet for me, however, I am typically not a sweets person.

“I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent experience we consistently have at Sliders Middletown. As a convenient halfway point for my two friends and me, we have the option to choose any bar within a 25-mile radius, yet we always gravitate towards your Middletown location. This is not only due to your excellent wings and beer selection but also because of the consistently outstanding service we receive. In particular, we always request Rachel as our waitress. In our opinion, she is the best server there. Her positive attitude is infectious, she always makes us feel incredibly welcome, and she is exceptionally attentive to our needs. Her dedication to providing such excellent service is very important to us and truly embodies the qualities one looks for in a server, reflecting very positively on Sliders. Because of the consistently great service, particularly from Rachel, we make it a point to visit Sliders Middletown at least once a month, and often more frequently. “Honest to God great people here. I've been ordering from here for years, the customer service has never been bad. Sometimes the guys behind the counter can get a little overwhelmed from a busy day, but you could say the same about every working human on Earth.

Food is great, but I recommend sticking to their namesake. Fries are good, sandwiches are fine, but their wings are great. My very picky wife, and at least 4 of my friends all agree with me that these guys sell great wings. I keep bringing people there to prove to myself that I'm not crazy lol“

“I've been coming to AJ's for over 20 years. literally every time I have friends from out of town visit me and want to have a drink and some good bar food we go to AJ's. every single one of my out-of-town friends always says this is the best bar food they've ever had in their life. I literally have friends who call me up to come to Meriden just to have food from AJ's. my kids are addicted to the food at AJ's as well . I can honestly say if I ever move out of Connecticut, AJ's is one of the very few restaurants that I would ever truly miss and want to stop by if I come back to Connecticut for a visit. “These are the nastiest wings I ever had in my life, I ordered a 16 piece lemon pepper hot wing and they sent one order of bland hot wings with curly frys and a order of no flavor tasteless wings with cury frys I did not know chicken could be so bland and nasty. we didn't even eat them they're just sitting there, we did not even have dinner because it was so bad.“

“Had a craving for New Haven style pizza. It was ice storming so allot of places were closed, but I was VERY happy with Branford Pizza! Crust was suuuuppper thin, crispy at the top, foldable with excellent sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Very reasonable! Also ordered a ruben for the next day and this did NOT disaapoint! Even with reheat, it was DELICIOUS! Very generous corned beef, tangy sauce, plenty of kraut & cheese. FILLING! Came wrapped in foil so super easy 2nd dinner . Will absolutely order again. “Their Cheeseling Wings are good! Ever since, I came across Bbq. Chicken, I really loved their wings. The first time I went there, I had the secret wings and it was delicious! I do recommend them. Though their wings are a bit pricey, but they are really good 👍“
