Saw this business for sale on FB market Place. For 80k message the owner and asks for a P&L statement to send to me accountant they responded with I’m not going to read this. I’m assuming at this point they don’t even know what one is. So I contacted them through their FB page and they deleted my comment and blocked me. It’s ok. I just want to let people know that their business is for sale. It looks like they don’t REALLY know how to conduct business. When it comes from keeping the doors open or transferring ownership. FYI if you plan on purchasing this place there is no parking and all the equipment in side is mostly worth about 25-30k. Good Luck. They did mention they will absolutely not go down in price or take payments. Which is fair but sell it for what it’s worth. Which is just a kitchen. And no kitchen is worth 80k when you could build the same one for a 1/3 of the price.. oh and I have ordered food here before it was actually really good. ?

I tried Ms Barbara Jeans Soul Food for the first time tonight. And it was AMAZING! I had the fried pork chop and it was the best pork chop I’ve ever had. I am looking forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu!

Parking: Roadside parking and huge lot across the street.

NOT REAL SOUL FOOD. Unseasoned chicken, cloned chicken thigh, overcooked and chewy chicken. On top of that, they gave me vegan mac and cheese by mistake.

I love this restaurant. The food is always tasty and generous portions. You can’t go wrong with choosing Ms. Barbara Jean’s Soul Food Kitchen. Very delicious.

I’ve ordered twice from Ms. Barbara Jean’s Soul Food Kitchen and both times it was extremely scrumptious and so good! My first time eating something vegan which was so good. The way that the food is prepared to how warm it stays is amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Definitely want to try some more vegan food. Love collard greens and Mac & Cheese.

Had their food for the first time and it was delicious I must admit. They have a wonderful menu selection and their prices are very reasonable too.

Amazing place for vegan soul food, and I can only assume all the non-vegan items are equally delicious! Love that they have options for everyone, including larger family sized meals. Candied yams are to die for, even the plain rice is perfectly seasoned. Hope one day they get a vegan mac, but otherwise def worth trying out!!

We ordered via Uber eats. Food arrived right on time and warm. We ordered several items... bbq ribs, fried pork chop, jumbo fried shrimp, and smothered chicken thigh.  The food was tasty and well seasoned.  The fried food wasn't super crispy due to the moisture from being delivered, but it still tasted great. The bbq ribs were on point! Very tasty and the right amount of bbq sauce. We'll be back to try other menu items.

I'm honestly a little bummed my husband and I discovered Ms. Barbara Jean's -- we've had to increase our dining out budget because we just can't get enough of this place!! I'm a vegan and hubs is not, so it can be tough for us to find a place where we can both order something that we're really craving without compromising. I can't believe we can both order from a soul food kitchen -- which isn't the first type of restaurant that comes to mind when you think of vegan food -- and both be equally happy. Hubs orders something different off the menu every time and is always satisfied. I've gotten their vegan fried chicken and seafood options, and the first time I tried both, I thought I'd mistakenly been given non-vegan food. It is THAT good. The vegan mac and cheese is also to die for -- so much so that hubs orders the vegan mac rather than the traditional mac. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for meat eaters and non-meat eaters alike!!

Incredibly rude staff. "Fred" (I am pretty sure of his name) treated us like garbage - 1st and only time we will ever consider this place
