Debbie the waitress is a doll! What a lovely welcoming place. I look forward to breakfast here whenever I am driving through Connecticut.

Another beautiful Diner along our road trip, Pennys is an original diner from the 1950's everything outside the design all beautiful. The inside was even gorgeous. We both ordered breakfast and the food was delicious. The waitress mommy is such a peaceful soul, she's very kind and very professional. Had a wonderful time here and was full of good food when we left.

Went here with friends on a Friday afternoon. Though restaurant was mostly empty and pretty quiet, we had a great time. Great food in big portions at very reasonable prices. Waiter was friendly and funny, good service and made sure we had a good meal. Would go back.

Very nice place to eat. Simple, easy and uncomplicated. Neutral mood from the servers. Not a fake happy, very genuine. Which I prefer anyways. Checked in twice to make sure we were doing ok.

This place charged $1 for hot water. Greeted by a sad-face host. I'm speechless....

Good food, great service, amazingly reasonable prices. We stopped here after getting slightly lost and missing the entrance to 95. So glad we did! Service was friendly and prompt, with just the right attentiveness. The coffee, which I really needed at that point, was excellent--always my primary criterion in a diner. My husband had pancakes with bananas--lots of tasty chunks in tasty fluffy rounds. I had the Tuscany vegetarian sandwich, which was amazing with eggplant, pesto, and red pepper. Decor was typical diner, with tasteful holiday decorations. Everything was clean and bright. There was some background music, but the volume was soft. All of this, including tea, for only $27--almost prepandemic prices. Today I checked prices online at another diner we considered and calculated that Penny's scrumptious meal cost $11 less than this competitor. We plan to stop here again the next time we're traveling north on 95 in Connecticut.
