El calenton chino Reviews
The food was good overall, and I would definitely come back to try some other items. The meat had a really good texture and was cooked well. I was expecting the fried rice to be a little more like Puerto Rican Chinese-style fried rice, with egg, scallions, pork, and more color and flavor. The tostones and fried pork were also good, but I felt they could use a little more seasoning and salt.

El Calenton Chino is a restaurant that has impressed many diners with its good food and exceptional customer service. Guests have praised the overall quality of the meals, noting that the meat is well-cooked and has a great texture. While some found the fried rice not quite like the Puerto Rican Chinese-style they expected, they still enjoyed the tostones and fried pork, though a bit more seasoning would enhance the flavors.
The atmosphere is welcoming, with friendly and attentive staff that create a relaxing vibe. Many visitors have expressed their willingness to return and try more dishes, highlighting the restaurant's hospitable nature as a significant factor in their positive experience.
While the food is described as amazing and flavorful, there is a suggestion for the restaurant to enhance its exterior. A little landscaping and cleaning could improve first impressions.
Specific dishes like the General Tso's Shrimp received high praise, with one guest declaring it the best seafood dish they’ve ever had. Overall, diners recommend El Calenton Chino for its authentic Spanish cuisine, generous portions, and excellent service, making it a must-visit spot.
