What lovely evening at the NEW Yantic River Inn! The owner is very accommodating, the food was delicious, the band was phenomenal! The decor is subtle, old albums, beautiful mural, clean and service was great. I only wish the name would change to give it new spark. This establishment has been around for many decades, but, there is a new start being made. That's my only suggestion. I hope to see this establishment take off, it deserves the chance, so go and have you private functions there! Franklin will be happy too!

I wish I could taste the food but I didn't get the chance. After standing at the desk for five minutes I went looking for someone. I was interested in the salad bar but it was empty. Only served on weekends. I guess that makes sense because there was a total of four cars in the parking lot. The food may be good but I will never find out.

The live music was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Seeing the owner come out and play the xylophone with the band was a special treat.

The live music was great, extremely understaffed, arrived at 7:30 food came at 9:30. Food was ok but not worth the wait. I understand the staff that was there was overwhelmed but they were also unpleasant, borderline rude, as though their job was inconvenienced by customers who wanted to eat.

Pleasantly surprised. Parking was confusing and there was no apparent activity but once we were seated the waitress was quick and attentive. The chowder and fritters were outstanding.
