Fresh fish was well prepared. Steak was top quality and cooked exactly as ordered. Creative drinks and desserts. Same for appetizers. Service was outstanding. Great dining experience.
We were delighted with our lunch yesterday at Aspen. The clam chowder was delicious, prepared in a well seasoned creamy broth, seasoned perfectly with fresh herbs , combined with the right amount of clams and potatoes. We highly recommend giving this chowder a try. We would say, it is the best in Connecticut! For lunch we had shrimp and fish and chips, both dishes were terrific!
I had a double order of the seared tuna on wontons that is offered as a small plate. The tuna was fresh, and the seasoning was outstanding. My companion had one of the hot plates that seemed to please her greatly. It was affirming, and added to our pleasure, to be recognized by Cate H, one of the world's most knowledgeable, spirited,, and welcoming servers.
