Had the special - Chicken Cordon bleu… didn’t expect anything amazing but it was amazing. Surprisingly, but beautifully, crispy on the outside with a slight sweet flavor. Chicken was perfectly cooked, not dry, with appropriate proportions of cheese/ham. Service was extraordinarily friendly. Topped it off with a nice Port wine and they had a decent selection available. Will be back.

We had a phenomenal night here. Sat outside on the patio. Had the best waitress, Christina. They were slammed busy but Christina still made it out to our table frequently to check on us and made sure we had our drinks and our food was good. The food was absolutely delicious. The firecracker calamari was the best we’ve ever had. The tomato bisque was perfection. And the chocolate lava cake was the perfect way to end the night. 10/10 would recommend!

Great eatery tucked away off the beaten path. Great atmosphere. Clean dining room with a full service bar. Plenty of outdoor seating in a private and cozy courtyard with a water fountain that muffles the conversation of other patrons. Diverse menu offerings (seafood, steaks, pasta, burgers) and creative chef specials. Not a 5 star dining experience but still a very nice experience.

Great place for comfort seafood. It's a little loud, but food was great. Service was excellent. Good morning you want to step out for a well cooked meal one night.

We unexpectedly stopped for two nights in Old Saybrook, CT, and had dinner at Otter Cove last night as it was across the street from our hotel and pretty much the only option for us to walk to. And it couldn’t have been a better option. The milieu inside was what should be expected and hoped for in a coastal town like this. If I lived in the area, the wait staff would bore of me quickly.

The help is super friendly, on point, and on the way out we got a chance to meet the owner by the door (nice move, respect) and pepper him with some questions and he’s exactly what I like to see in an owner of such an establishment – and that’s all good things; very friendly, informative, and gracious for the patronage. I’d probably still come back to this place if I didn’t like their food and still drank alcohol. But I did. We all did.
They have an upstairs for: receptions, parties, get togethers, etc. I’m a sucker for places like this.

We’re in town for one more night and will be going back one more time. And if we/I ever come back to this area in the future, we will be going back. I’m a sucker for places like this.

If I were 22 again, and full of hope, I’d be at the end of the bar cradling a Beat book, sitting arrogantly and being consistently right to all around, and nursing three fingers of Chivas Regal – yet still not aware of the things that would lead me back here. (Have I been here before?) They would bore of me quickly.
Ordered: Lisa’s Rigatoni (great call – spaghetti is old news) and Meatballs, Asian Tuna Nachos, and a hot dog and fries for the pip squeak. All were loved.

Regrettably, we were not impressed by the food. Very fishy smell, not typical of quality seafood. Scallops were tender but not much flavor. Shrimp, was not good. Wine list? You have to ask the bartender.

Had a wonderful birthday meal. It was the day before St. Patrick's Day so the specials were Irish oriented. My husband had the whiskey honey glazed salmon which he said was very tasty. My daughter had the traditional corned beef and cabbage and my son had Shepard's pie. Not much was left to bring home in doggie bags. Lots of nice wood paneling inside and we were seated near the fireplace. The grandkids even enjoyed it.

Parking: The restaurant is right off of Route 9 in Old Saybrook. There is parking in both the front and the back of the restaurant.

Wheelchair accessibility: Walk up ramp for a cess to front door and outdoor seating when the weather is nice.

Everything was perfect. Excellent food, great service, and thank you Doc for recommending the specials. I had potstickers to start and a wonderful seafood risotto. I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could.
