“Over the weekend, My friend and I got stuck in the a snowstorm. We’re from New York originally, so being stuck in a small town like plantsville was a bit out of the way… we were famished and parched; nothing was open… we stumbled across the great Uncle Jack Noodle on Apple Maps with a lit up green sign saying “OPEN”. We rushed over to the restaurant, and parked very handily, across the street. Free Parking. Very Wonderful. We walked into Uncle Jack’s and were greeted with very warm smiles and friendlyness. Absolutely Stunning. Will be dining in next time! All in all, Uncle Jack served the most amazing noodles i have ever eaten. I ordered the Uncle Jack Noodles & boba tea and my friend ordered the Drunken Noodles spice level 5!!! We ate not even HALF of our meals within becoming full. Even then, we couldn’t help ourselves to more. $15 for my meal was more than enough. i had leftovers and then some. Thank You Uncle Jack, for being not only a restaurant, but a home as well.“

“Nataz in Southington is a true gem! We had my company’s holiday party here mid-week during the day before they opened for regular dinner service and it was AMAZING! The setup was great for our group and the restaurant was decorated beautifully. We had two dedicated waitresses, Sara and Heather, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a drink upon sitting down and that everyone got their food in a timely manner. Both Sara and Heather were very polite and accommodating, even weaving in and out of our employees and Santa participating in a gift exchange. Special thank you to Chuck for setting everything up for us! The food was exceptional! From the grazing boards to the salads to the entrees and dessert, everything was flavorful and cooked/presented perfectly. Everything was exactly as we ordered it, order was ready on time, food was excellent, and soup traveled really well for takeout French onion, which is hard to pull off.

We ordered the “Vito” swapping chicken out for tofu & the “Cypress Garden” sandwiches… both were delicious. The prices were reasonable for the high quality of the ingredients. One was $10 the other $12 & this price even included choice of side: pasta salad, apple or chips. We chose the lemon basil pasta salad & it was just as delicious as the sandwich’s. We are from the south and we have yet to find a good Mexican style restaurant here in ct.
The tacos are a 7/10 the tortillas are store bought. The tacos are double tortillas so
It fills you up faster. The meat is fresh. Steak, fajita, Pastor, Tripa, even the fish is grilled here. My husband likes their fish tacos, menudo and the tripa tacos are one of his favorites.
The pinto beans are fresh.
The Rice is not good at all. It tastes like plastic without seasoning. . That’s why the the 4 stars.
When we go as a family we just go for the tacos.
And their menudo. The staff speaks both English and Spanish. They welcome all but the kids need to be seated at all times. The food coming out is HOT.“

Tried the chicken wings and waffles, and hash fries to-go.
Chicken wings were fried to perfection and the various sauces were great compliments.
The hash fries were delicious.
Found the waffle too sweet for me, however, I am typically not a sweets person.

“This has become my new go to pizza parlor in town! The service has been excellent and you really cannot beat the prices. Greek style pizza which is made quickly and tastes great. The pie we like to get is spinach, bacon, and feta. I have also gotten a sausage calzone and a BBQ chicken grinder and all 3 of these items have been fantastic. I will definitely be back for more!

“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I met Counter Weight numerous times during beer festivals, but never understood their appeal to the public. It was until I visited the brewery.

First things first, the brewery occupies a big building and has an enormous space. The first floor is sectioned into 3 rooms, allowing for some privacy should you plan any events. There's also a patio, where the majority during our visit were the dog owners, and a 21+ game zone with some field games. They also have space on the second floor, but I did not go there. The brewery partnered with Ritual Pizza as their kitchen. We ordered a pizza and chicken tenders, and everything was delicious. The whole place was packed on Saturday evening.

Now, for the beers. This brewery specializes in 2 directions: traditional European beers and IPAs. As I'm not a big fan of IPAs, I was focused on the European styles during my visit. You cannot order beer flights here, but they can provide a short pour (10oz) of any beer with a limit of one short pour at a time. I tried many of Counter Weight beers before, but still their lineup was almost completely new to me, so my guess is that the beers are rotated often. I was able to try 5 beers during my visit. My absolute favorite was Grodziskie - a traditional 3.5% smoked wheat beer, which is incredibly hard to find in CT. But in general, I loved everything I had - Vienna Lager was rich in taste, Ein Helles was a direct hit in the style, and so on.

I'm pretty impressed by the quality of the beers produced here. If you're a fan of European beers, this should be a stop on your journey.“

“I come from Spain and it is my first time eating a steamed burger, a delight, something new that is worth trying. In my case I had the steamed salmon and my partner had the classic beef steam hamburger.
The place is nice, the decoration is very American haha ​​with all the cutouts and paintings from past times it transports you to America in the 1900s. They play good music all the time, classics from the 90s and 80s.
The service of 10, an older couple who make the homemade food themselves, it is appreciated to have a place like this to rest from so much junk fast food.
