Lots of ups and downs but beautiful scenery

Completely disappointed in Quarry Ridge this year! Today 6/5/2026 Myself and my friend of 60 years played 9 holes with a Cart! We were charged $ 40 each… No Senior Rate on top of the ridiculous Greens Fees! The Course was in Decent shape, but nothing to write home about! Very Inexperienced staff on the Pro Shop, just marching to the orders! As the old saying goes… You can’t put Lipstick on a Pig and expect it to be something else! It’s still a Pig! Too bad! It used to be fun going there for a round and then dropping another $50 each in the Restaurant! I hope you get your 4.4 million asking price, but you will never get another dime from me!

Hidden gem! Great clubhouse with very welcoming people.

Great course and incredible value - very scenic and challenging with the elevation changes, narrow fairways, and tough rough. Definitely will be back whenever in CT.

Four hours and 40 minute round on a Tuesday morning. The ranger was useless and the food was expensive. We stopped at for food at PGC.

Wet morning, greens were a bit sloppily prepared. Needs better markings for carts no-go areas. There's lots of water around the course and as someone new to the course, was hard to figure out where to drive and not drive. Very hospitable staff though.

I feel compelled to write this review to warn fellow golfers about the deeply frustrating and, frankly, predatory practices employed by the management at Golf Course X regarding their twilight hour offerings.
While the initial appeal of a discounted afternoon round is understandable, Golf Course X has perfected a scheme that ensures you will not receive the service you pay for. On multiple occasions, and after confirming with other players, it is clear that their policy is to send rangers out to aggressively hurry groups along, only to have a staff member waiting at the 10th hole to unceremoniously kick players off the course, regardless of pace or daylight remaining.
This is not an isolated incident but a continuous and deliberate measure. Paying for 18 holes and being forcibly removed after 10 feels less like a policy and more like a large-scale scam designed to maximize their revenue at the direct expense of the customer experience. There is no offer of a rain check, a discount on a future round, or even a semblance of apology. The attitude is simply that your round is over.
Therefore, my strong recommendation is two-fold:

- If you insist on playing Golf Course X after 2:00 PM, only pay for a 9-hole round. You will be prevented from playing more than that regardless of what you pay, so do not give them the extra money.

- A far better solution is to take your business to any other course in the area. You will undoubtedly find not only better customer service but also superior course conditions, more appetizing food options, and a management team that respects its patrons and the game itself.

Played 18 holes on Sunday and was so impressed with everything! From the friendly staff to the course conditions, we all had an amazing time and will certainly be back! We all would highly recommend this golf course as one you should definitely play!

The owner must not play golf. When the course allows any group to tee off on the tenth, that just walked up with no tee time in front of a group that paid for 18 holes with tee time and is coming through well for starters lets just say the owner has lost a customer and as many friends as he can tell for ever and ever. No starter, Pro nowhere in sight and the ranger who really is the cart boy just drove around and did not say anything to the two groups they let go ahead of us and both groups had two players with cart. The first group was very very slow and backed up play for all nine holes. There is only one reason courses operate this way and today I figured it out you are unprofessional and the only thing that truly matters is the owners bottom line. I left with a poor taste and lost all mojo after the ninth hole for it was a beautiful day and the course and lay out have breathtaking views. Let's go Quarry Ridge your operations show your true colors. Step up your game.
