Was enjoying the course very much until the end of the game when some of the course staff got into a loud and distracting argument with players. Ruined the experience

Poor course, owner made a huge scene of throwing out some kids playing very rudely. Will not see my money again

Absolutely a horrible place. The owner is disrespectful to veterans (as well as lying about being one), respects people who disrespect other people. And to leave it off they delete reviews that criticize the business. All I can say is if you can’t handle the heat get out the kitchen. End of story… disrespectful business, disrespectful management, and gross people. Don’t. Golf. Here. Many other better courses in connecticut, suggest going else where.

Was not allowed to walk course. Left shortly thereafter

owners are trying to go upscale. can't comment on the Italian restaurant (pricey menu) but played course recently. IN NEED OF MAINTAINENCE. Tee boxes, fairways, traps are all spotty (washed out traps, extensive bare spots, etc). Not bad but not worthy of a high end course. Take away the 'quarry feel' and it's really about like a medium to low end municipal course.

I wish I could tell you how great this course was, but between the high chances of getting hit by a wild golf ball (5 times personally) and the speed bumps that make you feel like your in the duke's of hazard video I gotta sit this one out. Do not recommend bringing little ones to the place, but if you must, 100% have them sit in a covered cart on the par 3 2nd hole. I felt like a tornado was coming with how many golf balls hailed down on us, putting on that green.

Loved this course. Scenic, challenging but a little tight. Requires controlled Tee shots for sure. But a really fun course to play .

6/24 18 Holes Played - This was my first time at Quarry Ridge Golf Course. The course pace was perfect, there was a drink cart all day on the course and the overall condition was good. Diving a little deeper, many of the tee boxes could be flattened and/or resurfaced. I felt more than a few had dips or were rounded over, enough to impact your tee shot.

The fairways are so narrow, I would like to see a little more attention to clearing a 5 foot strip beyond the rough or into the tree line. This would help keep balls in play longer being that the fairways are narrow, but more so because many fairways tilt and run off sharply. Being a solid 8 handicap player to me it seems like the tree line has grown in too much tightening things down even further. The tee locations getting a little funny, but there were plenty of intermediate navigation signs out that helped.

Hole 5 could get a pruning just right of the tee box to help give the player a few more landing options. During the time of play the greens were mostly filled in from their aeration, however they rolled very bumpy still between the two different aged grasses.

My take-away - I will be back to give it another go. My expectations will be different and my approach to the course will be changed. About 4 holes in I changed my game and approach to the course - short tee shot, dialed approach shot, and confidence in putting. I might have used driver twice, so come with your confidence tee club and commit to your put pace. Overall, it was fun and annoying at the same time. The narrow roll out holes need a little more trimming around the edges. Some branches or even trees could be removed completely. I will be back soon.

It would be nice if when you call to make a Tee time they tell you they aerated the greens.

Been playing here a couple of times a year for a while now. Hilly and tight on some holes, the course doesn't play long but have to be relatively accurate to score well. Course is in good shape and should get better as day I played,6/5, the greens had been fertilized and were sandy but once fertilizer works in greens should be nice and fast. Not a course to walk, clubhouse is nice and restaurant there was good. Nice course to play relatively cheaply for a change of pace and a challenge.

Not the fanciest clubhouse. Not a championship caliber course layout.

But this golf course, rolling hills around old quarry, is an excellent value. Seniors may have difficult time maneuvering around the course, especially if you your ball lands short of the green on the hilly rough. Fairways are very tight and all holes are relatively short distanced. So leave your driver in the trunk might be a good idea if you are a heavy hitter.

The course is kept in decent shape and the views, especially during fall, is awesome.
