The bartender ( owner ) Liz I believe her name was .. is a really mean woman . She is sort of scary looking too and big mouth talking about other employees while customers are right there ! I’m never going back there to Hear THAT woman rude voice again !

Unfortunately not that good. Go elsewhere try the Hideaway or Pippa's in Danbury. I miss the little pub that was once here...

Having been driving by this place for the last few weeks, and reading the reviews really wants to try it. I finally get a chance this Friday for dinner for two at 6 PM. Quaint atmosphere. Very relaxed. Very casual. They set us at the bar area, as there wasn’t enough room in the dining area. There were a lot of tables available in the dining area, but whatever could’ve been held for reservations… Although we never saw anyone come in and sit at the empty tables. Service was a bit spotty with delays, and would have to flag down our waitress, but it wasn’t the worst we’ve ever had. The good: ordered the fried eggplant wrap with spinach with garlic and tomato, and it was quite good. Although the menu did mention garlic aïoli, which I don’t recall, was on the wrap. The hand cut fries were nicely done, my partner ordered the fish and chips and enjoyed that as well. Well done on both dishes. They not so good: the ginger Negroni I ordered was a bit sweet; the fried calamari we ordered was quite bad. It was the plain calamari, clearly, frozen, very, very chewy with some sort of spice on it. That was just not good. Like every other place prices for dining out have become outrageous, sandwich, fish, and chips, one drink well over $75
Service was slow, not a crowded restaurant. Then they brought the wrong salad to our table and had to run back and take it away, after dressing had already been put on it. I ordered the pork Black Cat tacos, which came with rice. The rice was not even warm and very bland. The pork in the tacos had zero seasoning, was tasteless. Very little else on the tacos for flavor. Probably the worst tacos I have ever had. Tried this place once, won't be returning. Sure miss the Little Pub!

First visit went quite well. This property has changed hands a few times over the past few years and hopefully the Black Cat 🐈⬛ stays. Interior is pretty much the same, bar area a bit noisy but the enclosed porch is a better choice. Better than average pub grub was well prepared and priced. I had a very good blackened catfish sandwich and a nice glass of wine. We will definitely go back
Servings size was great. Food was ok nothing memorable presentation was nice.

We were a party of 11 , 4 kids and 7 adults who had been planning on eating out side at one of the nice local brew spots .The unbelievably hot weather had us searching for an alternative. My husband called The Black Cat and Brian had the table all ready when we were there 5 minutes later.
The service was great both fast and efficient.
They made a great effort to get the kids pasta out quickly . We had a variety of orders from salads, steak, tuna nachos and burgers.
Everything was served hot and as ordered .
The onion rings are spectacular.
The Black Cat saved the day!
The burgers are fabulous!!! We love the atmosphere too!
Glad I finally stopped at Black Cat for dinner. Wanted to eat outside, but it was a little warm out.
Was too busy for 6pm on a Thursday night. Plenty of open seating inside. Bar was full of patrons that were enjoying themselves and a little loud at times. But enjoyed the back and forth bantering.
After being seated I saw a wedge salad go by. Count me in for that and it did not disappoint. Hats off to the team in the plating. True visual masterpiece and tasted just as good. Nice chunks of blue cheese and bacon portions. Ranks up at the top of the list for me and wedge salads.
Then move to dinner. Menus was full of great choices, but hadn’t eaten seafood this week so got the fish and chips. Fries were good, Cole slaw definitely worth the “gas”! Now let’s talk about the fish. Nice tempura batter and fish was flaky. Four pieces and portions were larger than other restaurants I have eaten at. Tartar sauce you eat with a spoon and I had to get more.
Still have a few more trips this year to the area and looking forward to a return visit.
