Saloon vibe with good BBQ. It's obvious that lots of care goes into the meat prep and smoking. Tender ribs and brisket. Sauces are quite tangy but there's a enough smoke in the meat to offset.

Coming from some real hillbillies from down in the southern sticks, who ordered the two meat combo with two sides… I’d give this place a three and that’s being generous. We got the pulled chicken and brisket with fries and sweet potato fries. Between the two, the brisket was far superior- in tenderness and in taste. The pulled chicken had more of a dry, chalky taste. Fries on both accounts were mediocre. The sauces were thin and truthfully we didn’t love any of them alone, however the classic BBQ and chipotle mixed was pretty good! Also got a side of ranch- definitely hidden valley ranch, should have asked if it was homemade before ordering and perhaps I wouldn’t have been disappointed. Also got a sweet tea, which we should have known better given we’re not in the homeland mountains anymore. The tea was flavored and not a traditional sweet tea by any means.

Pulled pork was truly excellent. The brisket was a little dry bit still very good. The chicken was chicken. Collard greens and Cole slaw were good. Would return for the pork specifically.

There were so many great reviews for this restaurant and I truly believe that it could live up to the hype but I was kinda let down my meal here. We ordered a half a rack of ribs, smoked wings, baked beans and mac and cheese. I feel like bbq restaurants aren’t only known for their meats but the mac and cheese they serve too and this one felt like more of buttered noodles to me. Our meal came out within minutes of ordering which is great cause who doesn’t love quick turn around but you could tell both the chicken wings and ribs have been sitting on a warmer for a while. They came out kinda cold and pretty dry. I do bet everything tastes really good warm though. The service was great and everyone was super friendly I just wish my food tonight lived up to all those reviews.

This is the best place for BBQ in Connecticut! I’ve been coming here for years, and the food is simply amazing. The **best ribs** I’ve ever had, hands down. Having lived in the South for many years, I can confidently say this place surpasses any BBQ I experienced down there.
The staff is also fantastic! They all seem genuinely happy to be there, which adds to the overall experience. They're attentive and knowledgeable, making sure you have a great meal.
If you’re in the mood for true BBQ, this is a must-visit!

My daughter picked this restaurant for her birthday. We’d never been before but we know we’ll be back again! Food was excellent! Plus the outdoor space with firepit makes for a nice atmosphere! And great service as well 😀

We were a few bikers looking for some beers and light food.

The beer selection here was great and the sausage on Pretzel that I got was really good.

Great place to hangout.

would award 5 stars for smoked meats, et al, but can't bc:
1) fried okra s/b removed from menu (cardboard)
2) 2 meats / 2 sides comes w/ 1 cornbread; doesn't make sense

I've been going here for year but felt compelled to write a review because of a new policy that people who come here should be aware of. My friend and I came here last weekend. It was busy and it took us ~30 minutes to get a table. While waiting, we had a few drinks. We ordered 3 appetizers and shared one entry. Even though we spent over $150 for drinks and dinner, we were charged a $5 sharing fee which would not be waived because we only ordered one large entree which we shared. We should have been informed of this beforehand. The food was good but I won't be coming back.
