I have completely edited this review. I visited immediately after it transitioned to new ownership and things were very discombobulated, and I gave it a poor review. Just visited now, a month or so later, and things have much improved. Service was quick and friendly, pastries and bagels look great, and most importantly, the previous whitefish recipe is back!If you're used to gloppy cream-of-wheat consistency whitefish, please come try this one. It's chunky, smoky, oniony, and really delicious. It's been our go-to for decades and I'm delighted the new owners have kept the recipe. Also delicious was a pastry which is a hybrid cinnamon roll / muffin, with the sticky sweet glaze on top.Well done folks, and sorry for the initial bad review. I should have waited until your shakeout was all shook out. We'll be back!

The bagels here are phenomenal. It would be wonderful if you made refreshing smoothies since my kids love them. And it would also be wonderful if you could stay open later until around 5. I am definitely looking forward to trying your smashburger on a bagel since it's hard to find a good burger around town. Congratulations on your business!!

I paid $12 today for a turkey lettuce tomato and mayonnaise sandwich on a hard roll! This is Ridgefield, Connecticut not New York City.Correction...The rents in Ridgefield, Ct. are lower that New York City.Furthermore.. my prices are fair and competitive with the other local florists in this area.Sure, prices on everything has increased but we absorb our costs and give customer service and flower quality.Good luck with your business.

When this was Steve’s bagels seems stale and small. I hope new owners improve on this and take advantage of opportunity.

The bagels are the worst I've had in the area. Texturally very cakey, not chewy at all, yet somehow strangely dry. Fresh grocery store bagels are somehow better, and that's shocking. I would go back if they would work on their recipe.

Bagel was good and portions were fair but I had to cut the avocado myself and rebuild the sandwich, eventually eating it with a fork. Deal with it pal!
Wish I could continue to support but bagels are just much better at Bagelman or even Stews. Seems not fresh? You gua make them there? Look how successful Pop Up bagels are.Let me know when things change and will come back.

Had a poorly toasted bagel (not really toasted), asked light cream cheese, got 1/2 gal. Bagel not good. Service was fast and wrong.

Bagel credentials: Grew up on Zabar's and H&H. These are the best everything bagels in the area. Chewy and a little dense like god intended. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

I couldn’t be more annoyed with Steve’s Bagels. This is the second time our order was incorrect. It’s takes a lot for our family to get terrible bagels. The only hope was the veggie cream cheese, but we got plain. Steve, you need to get better!!!
Love the new atmosphere, new owner lovely, very
