Still operating as the same wonderful restaurant I used to go to with my parents. It so easy to discount old faithful restaurants like this when you’re busy looking for the new place; and that choice pales by comparison. Quick and professional service with food that is cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. They even still include bread and salad with each dinner entrée. Welcome reminder of the way things used to be while, still keeping the prices, realistic and affordable

Restaurant was closed for renovations but failed to notify OpenTable. I was allowed to make and modify reservations on OpenTable.

What can I say, steamers and whole bellies were on point. Bartender, Trevor, was professional and friendly.

The very rudest waitress in my entire life. Because you were short staffed does not give you the right to slam our check on the table, ignore a request for bread or drink refill. We were patient to the point where we were screamed at by waitress. The manager was not much better & should consider learning how to deal with insufficient staff. It is not your customers fault. I was told to never book again. I am a 30 yr customer. There are lots of excellent restaurants & this 1 was right up there. Everyone has a bad night & we were very understanding. But hope they were provided guidance by the owner. Word of mouth is powerful

We all ordered from the early bird menu, a lot of food. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was awesome. Price was right. Definitely will go back and refer others.

We have been patrons since they opened in 1982. Always fresh, delicious and creative. Service is outstanding, attentive yet not overbearing. Same excellent value. Entree includes family style salad, vegetables and fruit bowl.

This is a great seafood restaurant and an excellent value. My combo platter (stuffed shrimp, scallops, and fish) was delicious. I took some home along with the fruit basket and the mixed veggies for the table. I don't know why we don't go more often, so we are adding it into the rotation!

Saybrook Fish House always delivers on a great meal. So much to eat we always have leftovers. Love the fruit basket at the end of dinner. Great drinks, no skimping here. Wait staff is very courteous and accommodating. I have been going here for years, and will continue to do so.

We had not eaten at the restaurant in many years. We wanted Fish and Chips that we remembered enjoying. The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived , but we were seated right on top of s very noisy table.the noise level was such we could barely communicate across our table. That combined with the mediocre fish snd chips ( the fish was not fried enough- was extremely mushy and hard to eat as well as under fried chips.) For the cost of the dinner the quality could have been better add in the noise and the ok service- we will not go back again.

Got sick on the fish and chips, which tasted the best I ever had till we were both sick later that night, and we have one full bath. The orher just a toilet in the basement. BOTH ENDS !!! 💢

This is my favorite place to go for seafood. I've had the rotisserie swordfish, bay scallops, fried shrimp, broiled fish, and saybrook clams casino, All excellent!
