We had such a wonderful and fascinating experience at Mine Hill Distillery thanks to General Manager Ron Neugold, Head distiller Chris Byles and Asst Distiller Audra Sanchez. They were warm and patient as they explained the history of their distillery, which is housed in an old tobacco warehouse built in 1870. Wow. I have to admit I am not a spirit drinker and I wound up here because I bid on a package that they generously donated to Caroline House benefit (THANK YOU), and it was just awesome. I went with a group of five women. Our package included a tour, and a tasting. Chris was our guide and told us the history of the buildings and explained the whole process of how the company was started, how the spirit process works, showed us the distillery, the barrel house, and the old train...
My wife and I stopped there on the way to the beach, and it was excellent. It’s a really nice setting, perfect for the product. Kind of wish we had seen it in the fall, because it must be incredible. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, talked the product up without being pushy, and we really enjoyed it.
