Saw a flag on the side of the road & we were hungry so took a chance Great burgers -best I’ve had, not too big or too small. The fries are really tasty as are the jalapeño poppers. It’s a food truck on the grounds of the “Home of Australian Gin” we aren’t keen on gin however the drinks we had were yum & the staff really lovely & helpful. Highly recommend stopping.

Beastie Burger is a hidden gem on Shelton’s Howe Avenue for some amazing vegan food! They make their own blend of seitan burgers, which can also be made into a burrito or put on pizza! With over 30 grams of protein, it’s some of the most nutritious vegan food I’ve seen in our area. The space is more of a commercial kitchen, but you can order your meals to be prepared and taken to go, or you can grab some frozen patties to cook at home. The owner is so sweet, and I highly recommend popping in just to say hi and learn more about her products and inspiring health journey. All of the food is delicious, and she uses only the cleanest ingredients. I’ve been telling all of my vegan friends that they need to come check this place out!

While many other veggie burgers are high in carbohydrates and/or fat, the Beastie Burger is high in protein and low in fat and carbs, and it tastes fantastic. Even my friends who are not vegan or vegetarian love them!! I always have some in my freezer and I pull them out and make them whenever I need a quick, satisfying meal that tastes amazing. How do you think an extremely low fat, extremely high protein vegan burger will taste? I’ve been vegan for almost 20 years,my wife as well. We stumbled on this storefront on Howe Avenue (Rte. 110) in Shelton. It isn’t a restaurant, it is a kitchen. The make, sell and ship vegan burgers…traditional, chikken and Italian…. And when my wife saw the 1 gram of fat per Pattie, she was all about trying them. While we have eaten the Beyond Burger , neither of us are fans of something which has such high fat content.
So, back to the question - how does it taste?
My bride bit into hers and proclaimed it was very good. I bit into mine and said the same. AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE!
